The invention claimed us: 1. A tonneau cover comprising: (a) a first panel and a second panel; (b) hemispherical hinges formed by a plurality of hinge joints located between and connecting the first panel and the second panel; and (c) a cover extending over the hemispherical hinge, wherein the cover forms a portion of the hemispherical hinge by being connected to each of the plurality of hinge joints while also being disconnected from interconnection regions between each of the plurality of hinge joints. 2. The tonneau cover of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of hinge joints are interconnected and form a hemispherical shape when the first panel, the second panel, or both are folded. 3. The tonneau cover of claim 2 , wherein the cover extends over the first panel, the second panel, and the hemispherical hinge. 4. The tonneau cover of claim 3 , wherein the cover is connected to the first panel and the second panel. 5. The tonneau cover of claim 4 , wherein the interconnection regions are regions where the plurality of hinge joints are connected to each other, and disconnection of the cover from the interconnection region allows the plurality of hinge joints to rotate relative to each other. 6. The tonneau cover of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of hinge joints are pivotable relative to one another, and the first panel and the second panel are also pivotable relative to the plurality of hinge joints. 7. The tonneau cover of claim 2 , wherein the hemispherical hinge is planar when the tonneau cover is in an extended position. 8. The tonneau cover of claim 7 , wherein one or more of the plurality of hinge joints include a bumper that supports the first panel, the second panel, or both against a third panel. 9. The tonneau cover of claim 8 , wherein the third panel is a header panel configured to be located proximate to a cab of a vehicle. 10. The tonneau cover of claim 7 , wherein the cover folds or flexes away from the plurality of hinge joints and the interconnection regions when the hemispherical hinge is pivoted. 11. The tonneau cover of claim 10 , wherein the cover is planar across the hemispherical hinge when the tonneau cover is in the extended position. 12. The tonneau cover of claim 8 , wherein the bumper extends from a rear surface of the one or more of the plurality of hinge joints and way from the first panel and the second panel when the tonneau cover is in a folded position. 13. The tonneau cover of claim 12 , wherein the bumper contacts the third panel so that the third panel supports the first panel and the second panel, and the bumper prevents scratching, damage, or both to the third panel. 14. The tonneau cover of claim 13 , wherein the bumper is elastically deformable. 15. The tonneau cover of 14 , wherein the bumper includes a hollow area that deforms or changes shape when a load is applied to the bumper. 16. The tonneau cover of claim 15 , wherein the bumper is secured within a recess of one of the plurality of hinge joints. 17. The tonneau cover of claim 16 , wherein the recess is a socket that receives a ball of the bumper. 18. The tonneau cover of claim 17 , wherein the ball is integrally formed with the bumper. 19. The tonneau cover of claim 1 , wherein the cover abuts or overlaps an adjacent cover located on the first panel or the second panel. 20. The tonneau cover of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the plurality of hinge joints include a hinge step that receives an upper surface of an adjacent one of the plurality of hinge joints.
