Systems and methods for determining autonomous vehicle user boarding times are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer implemented method includes obtaining location data associated with a user device associated with a user. The method includes determining an estimated time until the user starts boarding the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the location data associated with the user device. The method includes obtaining data associated with the user. The method includes determining an estimated time of boarding duration for the user based at least in part on the data associated with the user. The method includes determining an estimated time until the user completes boarding of the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the estimated time until the user starts boarding the autonomous vehicle and the estimated time of boarding duration for the user.

What is claimed is: 1. A computer-implemented method, comprising: obtaining, by a computing system that comprises one or more computing devices, data indicative of a location associated with a user that has requested a vehicle service; communicating, by the computing system for an autonomous vehicle, data indicative of the location associated with the user, wherein the autonomous vehicle has been assigned to provide the user with the vehicle service and is to travel to the location associated with the user; obtaining, by the computing system, location data associated with a user device of the user; determining, by the computing system, an estimated time at which the user will arrive at the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the location data associated with the user device and a location of the autonomous vehicle; determining, by the computing system, an unlock time indicative of when the autonomous vehicle is to unlock a vehicle door of the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the estimated time at which the user will arrive at the autonomous vehicle; and communicating, by the computing system and based at least in part on the unlock time, data indicating to unlock the vehicle door. 2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the location associated with the user is a pick-up location, and wherein the vehicle service is a delivery service for which the autonomous vehicle is to transport an item from the pick-up location to a destination location. 3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the location associated with the user is a destination location, and wherein the vehicle service is a delivery service for which the autonomous vehicle is to transport an item to the destination location. 4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising: determining, by the computing system, an estimated time until the user completes retrieval of an item from the autonomous vehicle. 5. The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , further comprising: determining, by the computing system, an estimated time until the user places an item in the autonomous vehicle. 6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user device of the user receives a textual message indicating the autonomous vehicle is within a vicinity of the location associated with the user. 7. The computer-implemented method of claim 6 , wherein the textual message indicates that the autonomous vehicle is arriving for the vehicle service. 8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising: determining, by the computing system, a parking location when the autonomous vehicle is within a vicinity of the location associated with the user. 9. The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the parking location is a designated parking location for the vehicle service. 10. A computing system comprising: one or more processors; and one or more memory devices, the one or more memory devices storing instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the computing system to perform operations, the operations comprising: obtaining data indicative of a location associated with a user that has requested a vehicle service; communicating, for an autonomous vehicle, data indicative of the location associated with the user, wherein the autonomous vehicle has been assigned to provide the user with the vehicle service and is to travel to the location associated with the user; obtaining location data associated with a user device of the user; determining an estimated time at which the user will arrive at the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the location data associated with the user device and a location of the autonomous vehicle; determining an unlock time indicative of when the autonomous vehicle is to unlock a vehicle door of the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the estimated time at which the user will arrive at the autonomous vehicle; and communicating, based at least in part on the unlock time, data indicating to unlock the vehicle door. 11. The computing system of claim 10 , wherein the user device comprises a software application via which the user requested the vehicle service. 12. The computing system of claim 10 , wherein the vehicle service is a delivery service. 13. The computing system of claim 10 , wherein the location associated with the user is a pick-up location, and wherein the vehicle service is a delivery service for which the autonomous vehicle is to transport an item from the pick-up location to a destination location. 14. The computing system of claim 10 , wherein the location associated with the user is a destination location, and wherein the vehicle service is a delivery service for which the autonomous vehicle is to transport an item to the destination location. 15. The computing system of claim 10 , further comprising: determining an estimated time until the user completes retrieval of an item from the autonomous vehicle. 16. The computing system of claim 10 , further comprising: determining an estimated time until the user places an item in the autonomous vehicle. 17. One or more tangible, non-transitory, computer readable media storing instructions that when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising: obtaining data indicative of a location associated with a user that has requested a vehicle service; communicating, for an autonomous vehicle, data indicative of the location associated with the user, wherein the autonomous vehicle has been assigned to provide the user with the vehicle service and is to travel to the location associated with the user; obtaining location data associated with a user device of the user; determining an estimated time at which the user will arrive at the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the location data associated with the user device and a location of the autonomous vehicle; determining an unlock time indicative of when the autonomous vehicle is to unlock a vehicle door of the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the estimated time at which the user will arrive at the autonomous vehicle; and communicating, and based at least in part on the unlock time, data indicating to unlock the vehicle door. 18. The one or more tangible, non-transitory computer readable media of claim 17 , wherein the vehicle service is a delivery service. 19. The one or more tangible, non-transitory computer readable media of claim 18 , wherein the location associated with the user is a pick-up location or a destination location associated with the delivery service. 20. The one or more tangible, non-transitory computer readable media of claim 19 , wherein the pick-up location is associated with an item being placed into the autonomous vehicle, and wherein the destination location is associated with an item being retrieved from the autonomous vehicle.
