Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An air management device may include three independently operated primary impellers 131, 131′, 131″ , and drawn-in air is discharged through discharge ports 15′ - 1 , 15′ - 2, 15′ - 3 provided in the front plate 15 of the housing 10. Louvers 141, 142, 143 installed downstream of the air flow and discharge ports 15′ - 1, 15′ - 2, 15′ - 3 may be independently opened or closed to provide discharge of the air to the surrounding environment. Further, at least one retractable or pop-up fan may be provided. A bottom inlet 11′ may be formed on the bottom plate 11 of the housing 10 facing the floor of the living space above a predetermined distance. The replaceable filter 300 may be installed to filter the air sucked through the bottom inlet 11′, and may be drawn in and out of the housing 10 .

What is claimed is: 1. A furniture assembly comprising: a housing having left and right side plates, a front plate with at least one discharge port, a top plate with at least one opening, a back plate and a bottom plate with a bottom inlet, the housing defining an interior space and configured to be placed in a livable space with a gap between the bottom inlet and a floor of the livable space; an air management device provided in the interior space of the housing, wherein the air management device includes: at least one impeller to create an air flow from air of the livable space to pass through the bottom inlet and discharge through the at least one discharge port, a heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between the working fluid of the heat exchange cycle and the air of the air flow, and at least one retractable fan configured to pop-up through the at least one opening of the top plate, the at least one retractable fan discharging at least a portion of the air diverted from the air flow; an input unit configured to receive a user input and provided on the housing; and a control unit configured to control the at least one impeller, the heat exchanger and the at least one retractable fan based on the user input. 2. The furniture assembly of claim 1 , wherein the housing further includes a plurality of legs of a predetermined height connected to the bottom plate of the housing to create the gap. 3. The furniture assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one opening comprises first and second openings provided at each end of the housing, and the at least one retractable fan includes a first retractable fan configured to pop-up through the first opening and a second retractable fan configured to pop-up through the second opening. 4. The furniture assembly of claim 1 , wherein the interior space is partitioned into a primary space and at least one second secondary space, the heat exchanger and the at least one impeller is provided in the primary space, and the at least one retractable fan is provided in the at least one secondary space. 5. The furniture assembly of claim 1 , wherein based on the user input received through the input device, the at least one retractable fan pops up through the at least one opening and rotate along a vertical axis. 6. The furniture assembly of claim 1 , wherein the air management device further includes a guide having at least one space to house the at least one impeller, the guide being provided adjacent to at least one discharge port. 7. The furniture assembly of claim 6 , wherein the at least one impeller is provided between the heat exchanger and the at least one discharge port to draw in the air through the bottom inlet and discharge the air through the at least one discharge port. 8. The furniture assembly of claim 6 , wherein the guide includes at least one branch air flow passage to divert at least a portion of the air flow to the at least one retractable fan. 9. The furniture assembly of claim 8 , wherein the housing further includes at least one damper provided between the at least one branch air flow passage and the at least one retractable fan to control a passage of the diverted air. 10. The furniture assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a replaceable filter provided over the bottom inlet. 11. The furniture assembly of claim 10 , wherein the replaceable filter is configured to be retracted through a front bottom section of the housing. 12.
