The invention claimed is: 1. A proton-conducting cell structure comprising: an oxygen electrode; a hydrogen electrode; and a proton conductor interposed between the oxygen electrode and the hydrogen electrode, wherein the proton conductor containing a metal oxide that has a perovskite structure and that is represented by the following formula (1): A x B 1-y M y O 3-δ   (1), where an element A is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ba, Ca, and Sr, an element B is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ce and Zr, an element M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Y, Yb, Er, Ho, Tm, Gd, In, and Sc, δ indicates an oxygen deficiency amount, 0.95≤x≤1 and 0<y≤0.5 are satisfied, the hydrogen electrode contains nickel and an element X different from any of the element A, the element B, and the element M, wherein the element X includes at least Mg; and a ratio R Ni of Ni contained in the proton conductor to a total amount of the element A, the element B, and the element M contained in the proton conductor is equal to or less than 1.2 at %. 2. The proton conductor according to claim 1 , wherein a transport number of ionic conduction of the proton conductor in a humidified oxygen atmosphere at 600° C. is equal to or greater than 0.8. 3. The proton conductor according to claim 1 , wherein the formula (1) satisfies 0.98≤x≤1. 4. The proton conductor according to claim 1 , wherein the element A includes Ba, the element B includes Zr, and the element M includes Y. 5. The proton-conducting cell structure according to claim 1 , wherein the ratio R Ni of Ni is equal to or less than 1.0 at %. 6. A water vapor electrolysis cell comprising the proton-conducting cell structure according to claim 1 .
