Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A bonus providing element distinct from an underlying game enables bonus awards to players at two or more player positions of the underlying game based upon receipt of a predetermined triggering outcome in the underlying game by the bonus providing element providing an indication of at least three individual random indicators, such as: a) a first random indicator configured to provide an identification of a first award to be awarded to qualifying players of the players of the underlying game; b) a second random indicator configured to provide an identification of a single one of the two or more player positions; and c) a third random indicator configured to provide an identification of a second award to be awarded to the player at the single one of the two or more player positions indicated by the second random indictor.

What is claimed is: 1. A bonus providing element distinct from play of an underlying game for indicating a first award to qualifying players of players of said underlying game and a second award to a selected one of said qualifying players, comprising: a processor; a memory; a video display; and machine readable code stored in said memory and executable by said processor to cause said processor to: a) cause said video display to graphically display a first concentric circular wheel comprising a plurality of sectors, each sector identifying a first award; b) cause said video display to graphically display a second concentric circular wheel comprising a plurality of sectors, each sector identifying a single one of said players; and c) cause said video display to graphically display a third concentric circular wheel comprising a plurality of sectors, each sector identifying a second award; d) generate a bonus outcome; and e) in the event of an occurrence of a triggering event associated with said underlying game, cause said video display to graphically present said bonus outcome by causing said video display to display a rotation of said first, second and third concentric wheels relative to at least one selector and a selection of one of said plurality of sectors of said first concentric wheel to identify said first award to said qualifying players by graphical alignment of said one of said plurality of sectors of said first concentric wheel with said at least one selector, a selection of one of said plurality of sectors of said second concentric wheel to identify said selected one of said players by graphical alignment of said one of said plurality of sectors of said second concentric wheel with said at least one selector, and a selection of one of said plurality of sectors of said third concentric wheel to identify said second award to be awarded to said selected one of said players by graphical alignment of said one of said plurality of sectors of said third concentric wheel with said at least one selector, when said selected one of said players is one of said qualifying players, wherein said video display displays concurrent rotation of at least the first and second concentric wheels. 2. The bonus providing element of claim 1 , wherein said qualifying players comprise one or more of said players of said underlying game that have placed a side wager. 3. The bonus providing element of claim 2 , wherein bonus providing element is activated when a community event trigger occurs in said underlying game. 4. The bonus providing element of claim 1 , wherein said code only causes said processor to cause said video display to display the rotation of said third concentric wheel when said selected single one of said players is a qualifying player. 5. The bonus providing element of claim 1 , wherein said second concentric circular wheel as displayed is located inside said third concentric circular wheel and said first concentric circular wheel as displayed is located inside said second concentric circular wheel. 6. The bonus providing element of claim 1 , wherein said underlying game comprises at least one of: a game presented at an electronic gaming table, an online game, a mobile game and a game presented at physical gaming table. 7. The bonus providing element of claim 1 , wherein said one of said plurality of sectors of said first concentric wheel is selected to identify said first award to said qualifying players except said selected one of said players. 8. A method for providing a bonus event to multiple players of one or more gaming events, the multiple players at identified player positions, comprising the steps of: locating a video display of a bonus providing element in proximity to a gaming table for displaying information to said multiple players of said one or more gaming events, said bonus providing element further comprising a processor, a memory, and machine-readable code stored in said memory and executable by said processor; receiving a wager from at least one of said multiple players; presenting the one or more gaming events; determining an outcome of said one or more gaming events as to each of said multiple players; receiving input to said processor of the occurrence of a predetermined triggering outcome in the one or more gaming events; in response to said input, activating said bonus providing element to cause, by execution of said machine-readable code by said processor, said bonus providing element to: a) randomly select a first award, an identified single one of said player positions, and a second award; b) cause said video display to graphically display a first wheel having a plurality of segments having associated first awards and rotation of said first wheel and alignment of one of said segments of said first concentric wheel relative to a selector to indicate said randomly selected first award; c) cause said video display to graphically display a second wheel concentric with said first wheel, said second wheel having a plurality of segments having associated player positions and rotation of said second concentric wheel and alignment of one of said segments of said second concentric wheel relative to said selector to indicate said identified single one of said player positions; and c) cause said video display to graphically display a third wheel concentric with said first and second wheels, said third wheel having a plurality of segments having associated second awards and rotation of said third concentric wheel and alignment of one of said segments of said third concentric wheel relative to said selector to indicate said randomly selected second award; wherein at least one of said first, second and third wheels are displayed as rotating at the same time with one another; awarding said first award to each of said multiple players who comprise a qualifying player, except said player at said single one of said at least two different player positions; and awarding said second award to said player at said single one of said player positions. 9. The method in accordance with claim 8 wherein said predetermined triggering outcome comprises a community event. 10. The method in accordance with claim 8 , wherein said second wheel is displayed as located inside said third wheel and said first wheel is displayed as located inside said second wheel.
