A compressor assembly becomes a compressor as a result of a terminal guard being attached. The compressor assembly includes a body, and a terminal guard mounting seat attached to an outer surface of the body. The terminal guard is attachable to the terminal guard mounting seat. A compressor includes the compressor assembly and the terminal guard. The compressor can be manufactured by attaching the terminal guard mounting seat to the outer surface, administering metal spraying to at least part of the outer surface after attaching the terminal guard mounting seat, and attaching the terminal guard to the terminal guard mounting seat after the administering metal spraying.

What is claimed is: 1. A compressor comprising: a compressor assembly; a terminal guard attached to the compressor assembly, the terminal guard having an opening on a side of the terminal guard facing away from the compressor assembly; and a terminal cover attached to the terminal guard and covering the opening, the compressor assembly comprising a body; and a terminal guard mounting seat attached to an outer surface of the body, the terminal guard mounting seat being configured for the terminal guard to be attachable thereto, the terminal guard mounting seat having a first end portion attached to the outer surface and a second end portion spaced away from the outer surface, a distance between the second end portion and the outer surface being shorter than a distance between the opening and the outer surface, the terminal guard including at least one cover securing member configured to secure the terminal cover to the terminal guard, the at least one cover securing member being attached to the terminal guard in a position offset from the opening, the at least one cover securing member being attached to an outer periphery of the terminal guard, and the at least one cover securing member being positioned farther from the outer surface of the body than the second end portion of the terminal guard mounting seat is and closer to the outer surface of the body than an edge of the outer periphery located at the side of the terminal guard facing away from the compressor assembly is. 2. The compressor according to claim 1 , wherein metal spraying is administered to at least part of the outer surface of the body. 3. The compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the terminal guard is constructed of stainless steel. 4. The compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the terminal guard is erectly provided around a terminal that projects from the outer surface. 5. The compressor according to claim 4 , wherein the terminal guard is attached to the terminal guard mounting seat by securing members or welding. 6. The compressor according to claim 4 , wherein the terminal guard mounting seat has a tubular portion that includes the first end portion and the second end portion. 7. The compressor according to claim 4 , wherein the terminal guard mounting seat has a columnar portion that includes the first end portion and the second end portion. 8. The compressor according to claim 7 , wherein the terminal guard mounting seat has at least two columnar portions disposed in positions that sandwich the terminal. 9. The compressor according to claim 4 , wherein the first end portion of the terminal guard mounting seat has a bowl-shaped portion, a bottom portion of the bowl-shaped portion is attached to the outer surface, and the second end portion is disposed on an opposite side of the bottom portion as the outer surface and has the terminal guard attached thereto. 10. A method of manufacturing the compressor of claim 4 , the method comprising: attaching the terminal guard mounting seat to the outer surface; administering metal spraying to at least part of the outer surface after attaching the terminal guard mounting seat; and attaching the terminal guard to the terminal guard mounting seat after the administering metal spraying. 11. The compressor manufacturing method according to claim 10 , further comprising: administering metal spraying to the terminal guard before attaching the terminal guard to the terminal guard mounting seat, the attaching of the terminal guard to the terminal guard mounting seat includes attaching the terminal guard to which the metal spraying has been administered. 12. The compressor according to claim 3 , wherein the terminal guard is erectly provided around a terminal that projects from the outer surface. 13. The compressor according to claim 5 , wherein the terminal guard mounting seat has a tubular portion that includes the first end portion and the second end portion. 14. The compressor according to claim 5 , wherein the terminal guard mounting seat has a columnar portion that includes the first end portion and the second end portion. 15. The compressor according to claim 5 , wherein the first end portion of the terminal guard mounting seat has a bowl-shaped portion, a bottom portion of the bowl-shaped portion is attached to the outer surface, and the second end portion is disposed on an opposite side of the bottom portion as the outer surface and has the terminal guard attached thereto. 16. The compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one cover securing member includes a plurality of cover securing members. 17. The compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one cover securing member projects outward from the outer periphery of the terminal guard. 18. The compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the terminal guard is attached to the terminal guard mounting seat, the terminal cover is attached to the at least one cover securing member, and the attachment of the terminal guard to the terminal guard mounting seat is independent from the attachment of the terminal cover to the at least one cover securing member. 19. The compressor according to claim 18 , wherein the terminal guard is attached to the terminal guard mounting seat with at least one first securing member, the terminal cover is attached to the at least one cover securing member with at least one second securing member, the at least one first securing member and the at least one second securing member discrete from each other. 20. The compressor according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one cover securing member is a discrete member attached to the terminal guard.
