Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an introducer device for introducing a medical device into a patient's vasculature. In one embodiment, the introducer device comprises a housing, a distal sheath adapted to be inserted into a patient's vasculature with the housing positioned outside of the patient's vasculature, a hemostatic seal mounted within the housing, and a tube positioned within the housing and movable longitudinally relative to the hemostatic seal between a proximal position and a distal position. In the proximal position, a distal end of the tube is positioned proximal to the hemostatic seal with the hemostatic seal closed. In the distal position, the distal end of the tube extends through the hemostatic seal and permits the medical device to be inserted through the housing and into the patient's vasculature without contacting the hemostatic seal.

We claim: 1. An introducer device for introducing a medical device into a patient's vasculature, the introducer device comprising: a housing having a proximal opening, a distal opening, and a lumen extending from the proximal opening to the distal opening; a hemostatic seal disposed in the lumen; an end piece configured to couple to a proximal end portion of the housing and be moveable longitudinally relative to the housing when coupled thereto; and a tube fixed to the end piece and configured to extend through the proximal opening into the lumen of the housing when the end piece is coupled to the housing; wherein the end piece is configured to move the tube longitudinally relative to the hemostatic seal between a proximal position and a distal position, wherein in the proximal position a distal end of the tube is positioned proximal to the hemostatic seal with the hemostatic seal closed, and wherein in the distal position the distal end of the tube extends through the hemostatic seal and permits the medical device to be inserted through the housing and into the patient's vasculature without contacting the hemostatic seal; and wherein the housing is configured such that, when the tube is in the distal position, at least a portion of the end piece extends co-axially over at least a section of the proximal end portion of the housing corresponding to a location at which at least a portion of the hemostatic seal is disposed within the lumen of the housing, such that a vertical plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the housing intersects the section of the housing, the hemostatic seal, and the end piece. 2. The introducer device of claim 1 , wherein the end piece is configured to be manually pushed in a distal direction along the proximal end portion of the housing so as to move the tube from the proximal position to the distal position. 3. The introducer device of claim 1 , wherein the end piece comprises threads that engage corresponding threads of the housing such that rotation of the end piece relative to the housing is effective to move the end piece longitudinally relative to the housing. 4. The introducer device of claim 1 , wherein the end piece comprises a central opening that allows the medical device to be inserted therethrough into a lumen of the tube, and through the lumen of the housing. 5. The introducer device of claim 1 , wherein the end piece comprises a side wall between a proximal end opening of the end piece and a distal end portion of the end piece that extends coaxially over the tube, and wherein the distal end portion of the end piece comprises an end wall that extends radially inwardly from the side wall. 6. The introducer device of claim 5 , wherein the tube is supported by the end wall and is configured to extend co-axially relative to the proximal end portion of the housing when the end piece is coupled to the housing. 7. The introducer device of claim 1 , wherein the housing includes a side port distal to the hemostatic seal. 8. The introducer device of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of an exterior surface of the housing comprises threads, the threads configured to enable longitudinal threaded movement of the end piece over the at least portion of the exterior surface of the housing and retainment of a position of the end piece relative to the housing. 9. The introducer device of claim 1 , wherein the hemostatic seal comprises a proximal valve and the introducer device further comprises a distal valve, at least a portion of the distal valve being distally offset within the lumen relative to the proximal valve such that a space is disposed between the proximal valve and the portion of the distal valve, and wherein each of the proximal valve and the distal valve is configured to be independently opened and closed via movement of the end piece relative to the housing. 10. A method of using the introducing device of claim 1 , comprising: pushing the end piece to move the tube from the proximal position to the distal position; and inserting the medical device through the tube, the housing, and into the patient's vasculature while tube is in the distal position. 11. An introducer device for introducing a medical device into a patient's vasculature, the introducer device comprising: a housing; a distal sheath adapted to be inserted into a patient's vasculature with the housing positioned outside of the patient's vasculature; a hemostatic seal mounted within a proximal end portion of the housing, the hemostatic seal comprising a proximal face and a distal face opposing the proximal face; an end piece configured to be coupled to the proximal end portion of the housing and be moveable longitudinally relative to the housing while coupled thereto; and a tube fixed to the end piece and configured to extend through a proximal opening into a lumen of the housing while the end piece is coupled to the housing; wherein the end piece is configured to move the tube longitudinally relative to the hemostatic seal between a proximal position and a distal position, wherein in the proximal position a distal end of the tube is positioned proximal to the proximal face of the hemostatic seal with the hemostatic seal closed, and wherein in the distal position the distal end of the tube extends through the hemostatic seal and permits the medical device to be inserted through the housing and into the patient's vasculature without contacting the hemostatic seal; wherein the end piece comprises a proximal end wall, a distal end portion opposing the proximal end wall, and a side wall extending therebetween; and wherein the introducer device is configured such that, when the tube is in the distal position, the distal end portion of the end piece is distal relative to the proximal face of the hemostatic seal; wherein the tube is supported by the proximal end wall and extends co-axially with respect to the side wall of the end piece, and wherein the tube is configured to extend co-axially with respect to the proximal end portion of the housing while the end piece is coupled to the housing. 12. The introducer device of claim 11 , wherein at least a portion of an exterior surface of the housing comprises threads, the threads configured to enable longitudinal threaded movement of the end piece over the at least portion of the exterior surface of the housing and retainment of a position of the end piece relative to the housing. 13. The introducer device of claim 11 , wherein the hemostatic seal comprises a proximal valve and the introducer device further comprises a distal valve, a least a portion the distal valve being distally offset within the lumen relative to the proximal valve such that a space is disposed between the proximal valve and the portion of the distal valve, and wherein each of the proximal valve and the distal valve is configured to be independently opened and closed via movement of the end piece relative to the housing. 14.
