Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Described herein is a computer implemented method. The method comprises receiving, by an issue tracking system, a deployment update from a deployment system which includes deployment information in respect of one or more issues maintained by the issue tracking system. The method further comprises associating one or more issues maintained by the issue tracking system with deployment information by identifying the one or more issues to which the deployment information in the deployment update relates, extracting the deployment information from the deployment update, and associating the deployment information with each of the identified issues.

What is claimed is: 1. A computer implemented method comprising: obtaining, using an issue tracking system, feature flag information from a feature flag system, the feature flag information including a deployment status of one or more features corresponding to one or more issues tracked by the issue tracking system; receiving a request to display an issue view interface associated with an issue tracked by the issue tracking system; in response to the request, causing display of the issue view interface, the issue view interface including issue information associated with the issue, at least a portion of the feature flag information associated with the issue, and a feature flag link; detecting an activation of the feature flag link; and in response to detecting the activation of the feature flag link, causing a redirection to the feature flag system and causing display of a feature flag associated with the issue within the feature flag system. 2. The computer implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the issue view interface further includes a roll out indicator displaying the deployment status of a feature associated with the feature flag of the feature flag system, the feather flag associated with the issue tracked by the issue tracking system. 3. The computer implemented method of claim 1 , wherein causing the redirection to the feature flag system comprises providing user credentials to the feature flag system, the user credentials stored within a data store of the issue tracking system. 4. The computer implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising, in response to obtaining the feature flag information from the feature flag system, storing the feature flag information in a data store of the issue tracking system. 5. The computer implemented method of claim 1 , wherein: the issue view interface further includes a feature flag association control; and the computer implemented method further comprises: detecting a second activation of the feature flag association control; and in response to detecting the second activation of the feature flag association control, causing display of a submenu configured to initiate at least one of a feature flag creation process or a feature flag connection process. 6. The computer implemented method of claim 5 , wherein initiation of the feature flag creation process causes generation of a new feature flag associated with the issue within the feature flag system. 7. The computer implemented method of claim 5 , wherein initiation of the feature flag connection process links an existing feature flag stored within a feature flag data store of the feature flag system with the issue thereby associating the existing feature flag with the issue. 8. An issue tracking system comprising: a processor; a communication interface; and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing sequences of instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to: receive a request to display an issue view interface; in response to the request, cause display of the issue view interface, the issue view interface including issue information associated with an issue tracked by the issue tracking system, feature flag information associated with the issue, and a feature flag link; detect an activation of the feature flag link; and in response to detecting the activation of the feature flag link, initiate a redirection to a portion of a feature flag system and cause display of the feature flag information of the feature flag associated with the issue. 9. The issue tracking system of claim 8 , further comprising an issue tracking data store, the issue tracking data store storing at least the feature flag information and the issue information. 10. The issue tracking system of claim 9 , wherein the issue tracking data store additionally stores user credentials useable upon the activation of the feature flag link to access the feature flag system. 11. The issue tracking system of claim 9 , wherein the feature flag information is periodically received from the feature flag system. 12. The issue tracking system of claim 8 , further comprising an issue tracking server, the issue tracking server configured to cause display of a graphical user interface of the issue tracking system on a client device associated with a user of the issue tracking system. 13. The issue tracking system of claim 8 , wherein the issue view interface further includes a unique issue identifier, an issue name, an issue priority, an issue assignee, and an issue status. 14. The issue tracking system of claim 8 , wherein the issue view interface further includes a roll out indicator displaying a percentage of customers who have access to a feature associated with the feature flag information. 15. The issue tracking system of claim 8 , wherein the issue view interface further includes a feature flag status indicator displaying feature flag status information. 16. A method of providing a feature flag status, the method comprising: identifying an issue tracked by an issue tracking system; in response to identifying the issue, generating issue information corresponding to the issue; transmitting the issue information to a feature flag system; receiving, from the feature flag system, feature flag information associated with a feature flag corresponding to the issue; causing display of an issue view interface, the issue view interface including the issue information, the feature flag information, and a feature flag link; and in response to detecting an activation of the feature flag link, causing a redirection to the feature flag system to display the feature flag, corresponding to the issue, within the feature flag system. 17. The method of claim 16 , further comprising, in response to receiving the feature flag information, storing the feature flag information in a data store of the issue tracking system. 18. The method of claim 16 , further comprising: causing display of a feature flag creation object; detecting a second activation of the feature flag creation object; and in response to detecting the second activation of the feature flag creation object, causing the redirection to the feature flag system to complete a feature flag creation process. 19. The method of claim 16 , further comprising: causing display of a feature flag connection object; detecting a second activation of the feature flag connection object; and in response to detecting the second activation of the feature flag connection object, causing the redirection to the feature flag system to complete a feature flag connection process. 20. The method of claim 16 , further comprising causing display of a rollout indicator indicating a deployment of a feature associated with the feature flag and the issue.
