Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Various embodiments of the present application set forth a computer-implemented method that includes transmitting, by a wearable device, a first request that includes a first set of parameters, receiving, by the wearable device, a first set of values based on the first set of parameters, wherein the first set of values are provided by a first data source, displaying, by the wearable device, a first dashboard that includes a first visualization associated with the first set of values, determining that a first physical interaction with a first physical input device associated with the wearable device occurred, and in response to the first physical interaction, causing the first visualization to display a first data value included in the first set of values.

What is claimed is: 1. A computer-implemented method comprising: transmitting, by a wearable device to a mobile device, a first request that includes a first set of parameters associated with a first dashboard; receiving, by the wearable device from the mobile device, the first dashboard, wherein the mobile device stores the first dashboard in a mobile device cache; receiving, by the wearable device, a first set of values based on the first set of parameters, wherein: the first set of values are provided by a first data source external to both the wearable device and the mobile device, the first set of values cause the first dashboard to update a first visualization panel included in the first dashboard, and updating the first visualization panel comprises including at least a first data value and a second data value included in the first set of values in the first visualization panel; displaying, by the wearable device, the first visualization panel, wherein the first visualization panel displays at least the first data value; determining that a first physical interaction with a first physical input device associated with the wearable device occurred; and in response to the first physical interaction, causing the first dashboard to update a portion of the first visualization panel to display at least the second data value. 2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving, by the wearable device from the mobile device, the first set of values, wherein the mobile device: receives the first set of values from the first data source, and stores the first set of values in a first value cache included in the mobile device. 3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first dashboard includes a plurality of visualization panels that includes the first visualization panel. 4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first dashboard includes a plurality of visualization panels that includes the first visualization panel and further comprising: determining that a second physical interaction associated with the wearable device occurred, and in response to the second physical interaction, displaying within the first dashboard, a second visualization panel included in the plurality of visualization panels instead of the first visualization panel. 5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first set of parameters includes at least one of a time range, a set of fields, or an index of keywords. 6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving, by the wearable device, a first natural language (NL) request that includes the first set of parameters, and generating, by the wearable device, the first request based on the first NL request. 7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising: determining, by the wearable device, a request to display the first dashboard; and in response to the determination, generating, by the wearable device, a second request that includes a second set of parameters. 8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the first set of values comprises: receiving, from the mobile device, metadata indicating that the first set of values are included in a serialized file; and receiving, from the mobile device, a set of messages associated with the metadata, wherein each message included in the set of messages includes a portion of the serialized file. 9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first visualization panel comprises at least one of a pie chart, a bar chart, a time chart, a timeline, a line chart, or a table. 10. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first dashboard includes a scene containing a plurality of visualization panels that includes at least the first visualization panel and a second visualization panel. 11. The computer-implemented method of claim 10 , further comprising: determining that a second physical interaction associated with the wearable device has occurred; and navigating from the first visualization panel to the second visualization panel, wherein the second visualization panel displays at least a third data value included in the first set of values. 12. A computing device, comprising: a memory that includes an application; and a processor that is coupled to the memory, and when executing the application, performs: transmitting, by a wearable device to a mobile device, a first request that includes a first set of parameters associated with a first dashboard; receiving, by the wearable device from the mobile device, the first dashboard, wherein the mobile device stores the first dashboard in a mobile device cache; receiving, by the wearable device, a first set of values based on the first set of parameters, wherein: the first set of values are provided by a first data source external to both the wearable device and the mobile device, the first set of values cause the first dashboard to update a first visualization panel included in the first dashboard, and updating the first visualization panel comprises including at least a first data value and a second data value included in the first set of values in the first visualization panel; displaying, by the wearable device, the first visualization panel, wherein the first visualization panel displays at least the first data value; determining that a first physical interaction with a first physical input device associated with the wearable device occurred; and in response to the first physical interaction, causing the first dashboard to update a portion of the first visualization panel to display at least the second data value. 13. The computing device of claim 12 , wherein the processor further performs: receiving, by the wearable device from the mobile device, the first set of values, wherein the mobile device: receives the first set of values from the first data source, and stores the first set of values in a first value cache included in the mobile device. 14. The computing device of claim 12 , wherein the first dashboard includes a plurality of visualization panels that includes the first visualization panel. 15. The computing device of claim 12 , wherein the first dashboard includes a plurality of visualization panels that includes the first visualization panel, and the processor further performs: determining that a second physical interaction associated with the wearable device occurred, and in response to the second physical interaction, displaying within the first dashboard, a second visualization panel included in the plurality of visualization panels instead of the first visualization panel. 16. The computing device of claim 12 , wherein the first set of parameters includes at least one of a time range, a set of fields, or an index of keywords. 17. The computing device of claim 12 , wherein the processor further performs: receiving, by the wearable device, a first natural language (NL) request that includes the first set of parameters, and generating, by the wearable device, the first request based on the first NL request. 18. The computing device of claim 12 , wherein the processor further performs: determining, by the wearable device, a request to display the first dashboard; and in response to the determination, generating, by the wearable device, a second request that includes a second set of parameters. 19. The computing device of claim 12 , wherein receiving the first set of values comprises:
