A curable composition comprises: a) 91 to 98.2 weight percent of: (i) at least one polymerizable compound containing at least one carbamylene group; or (ii) at least one polyurethane precursor system; and b) 0.2 to 9 weight percent of alpha alumina particles having a particle size distribution with a Dv50 of from 0.1 to 1 micron, wherein the weight percentages of a) and b) are based upon the total amount of a) and b). Cured compositions and their use in thermoforming are also disclosed.

What is claimed is: 1. A curable composition comprising components: a) 97 to 99.8 weight percent of: at least one polymerizable compound containing at least one carbamylene group; and b) 0.2 to 3 weight percent of alpha alumina particles having a particle size distribution with a Dv50 of from 0.1 to 1 micron, wherein the weight percentages of components a) and b) are based upon the total amount of components a) and b); and c) free-radical initiator, wherein the at least one polymerizable compound comprises at least one urethane (meth)acrylate monomer, at least one urethane (meth)acrylate oligomer, at least one (meth)acrylated polyurethane, or a combination thereof. 2. The curable composition of claim 1 , wherein said free-radical initiator comprises a free-radical photoinitiator. 3. The curable composition of claim 1 , wherein the alpha alumina particles have a particle size distribution with a Dv50 of from 0.2 to 0.3 micron. 4. The curable composition of claim 1 , wherein the alpha alumina particles have a polymodal distribution. 5. A polymer composition comprising components: a) 97 to 99.8 weight percent of at least one polymer comprising a plurality of carbamylene groups, wherein the at least one polymer is covalently crosslinked; and b) 0.2 to 3 weight percent of alpha alumina particles having a particle size distribution with a Dv50 of from 0.1 to 1 micron, wherein the weight percentages of components a) and b) are based upon the total amount of components a) and b). 6. The polymer composition of claim 5 , wherein the alpha alumina particles have a particle size distribution with a Dv50 of from 0.2 to 0.3 micron. 7. The polymer composition of claim 5 , wherein the alpha alumina particles have a polymodal distribution. 8. The polymer composition of claim 5 , wherein the polymer composition comprises a film. 9. The polymer composition of claim 8 , wherein the film is supported on a substrate. 10. A method comprising thermoforming the film of claim 8 .
