The invention claimed is: 1. A liquid agricultural formulation consisting essentially of (a) a sole active insecticidal component selected from the group consisting of tetraniliprole present in an amount of from 1 to 35% by weight of the formulation, and (b) a carrier system, wherein the agricultural formulation is in the form of a microemulsion, an oil-in-water concentrated emulsion, a suspension, a suspension concentrate, an emulsifiable concentrate, or a microencapsulate and is effective in inducing mortality in at least 60% of Diabrotica rootworm larvae and wherein said formulation excludes chlorantraniliprole. 2. The formulation of claim 1 , wherein the carrier system comprises at least one foaming agent and at least one foam stabilizer. 3. The formulation of claim 1 , wherein the formulation is in the form of a suspension concentrate. 4. The formulation of claim 3 , wherein the tetraniliprole is present in an amount of from 1 to 5 wt % of the formulation composition. 5. A liquid agricultural formulation consisting essentially of (a) tetraniliprole present in an amount of from 1 to 35% by weight of the formulation, (b) a carrier system, wherein the agricultural formulation is in the form of a microemulsion, an oil-in-water concentrated emulsion, a suspension, a suspension concentrate, an emulsifiable concentrate, or a microencapsulate and is effective in inducing mortality in at least 60% of Diabrotica rootworm larvae and wherein said formulation excludes chlorantraniliprole, and further comprising (c) a plant protecting agent selected from the group consisting of insecticides, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, fertilizers and combinations thereof. 6. The formulation of claim 5 , wherein the plant protecting agent is a pyrethroid insecticide selected from the group consisting of: acrinathrin; allethrin; bifenthrin; cyfluthrin; cypermethrin; alpha-cypermethrin; beta-cypermethrin; zeta-cypermethrin; deltamethrin; esfenvalerate; etofenprox; fenpropathrin; fenvalerate; flucythrinate; tau-fluvalinate; permethrin; silafluofen; gamma-cyhalothrin; and tralomethrin. 7. The formulation of claim 6 , wherein the plant protecting agent is bifenthrin.
