What is claimed is: 1. An apparatus comprising: a display screen; a communications circuit; at least one processor; and at least one memory device communicatively coupled to the at least one processor and having software instructions stored thereon that when executed by the at least one processor, direct the at least one processor to: display on the display screen a graphical user interface that comprises a first color control interface comprising a first pallet that enables control of a lighting load within a first plurality of colors in response to selection of a color on the first pallet; detect a selected color on the first pallet; responsive to detecting the selected color on the first pallet, communicate via the communications circuit a first message to a lighting control device that is configured to perform the control of the lighting load to the selected color on the first pallet; display on the graphical user interface a second color control interface comprising a second pallet that enables control of the lighting load within a second plurality of colors in response to selection of a color on the second pallet; detect a selected color on the second pallet; and responsive to detecting the selected color on the second pallet, communicate via the communications circuit a second message to the lighting control device that is configured to perform the control of the lighting load within the second plurality of colors by controlling the lighting load to the selected color on the second pallet. 2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the lighting load comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) including a white or a substantially white LED; and wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to: display a vibrancy actuator; detect an actuation of the vibrancy actuator; and responsive to detecting the actuation of the vibrancy actuator, communicate via the communications circuit a third message to the lighting control device to control the lighting load to reduce an intensity of the white or the substantially white LED while continuing to produce the selected color on the first pallet or the second pallet that the lighting load is configured to produce. 3. The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to: subsequent to detecting the actuation of the vibrancy actuator, detect a further actuation of the vibrancy actuator; and responsive to detecting the further actuation of the vibrancy actuator, communicate via the communications circuit a fourth message to the lighting control device to control the lighting load to increase the intensity of the white or the substantially white LED while continuing to produce the selected color on the first pallet or the second pallet that the lighting load is configured to produce. 4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first pallet enables selection of colors along a black body curve, where the first plurality of colors comprises colors on the black body curve, and wherein the first message is configured to control the lighting load to produce white or near-white light at the selected color within the plurality of colors along the black body curve. 5. The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the lighting load comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) of a plurality of different colors, wherein the second pallet enables selection of colors within a color gamut formed by the plurality of different colored LEDs, where the second plurality of colors comprises the plurality of different colors in the color gamut formed by the plurality of different colored LEDs, and wherein the second message is configured to control the lighting load to produce the selected color within the color gamut. 6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to: display within the graphical user interface a color indicator together with the first pallet; responsive to detecting the selected color on the first pallet, change the color indicator to indicate the selected color on the first pallet; detect an actuation of an actuator displayed on the graphical user interface that is configured to cause the graphical user interface to display the second color control interface comprising the second pallet; and responsive to detecting the actuation of the actuator configured to display the second color control interface, display the second color control interface comprising the second pallet together with the color indicator, wherein the color indicator is configured to maintain the selected color on the first pallet after the detection of the actuation such that the color indicator indicates the selected color on the first pallet being produced by the lighting load prior to detection of the selected color on the second pallet. 7. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to: prior to detecting the selected color on the first pallet, display the color indicator as having a first size in the graphical user interface; and responsive to detecting the selected color on the first pallet, increase within the graphical user interface a size of the color indicator to a second size that is greater than the first size to indicate that the selected color has been detected on the first pallet and display the selected color at the increased size. 8. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to: subsequent to increasing the size of the indicator to the second size, decrease within the graphical user interface the size of the color indicator from the second size to the first size a period of time after the selected color is detected on the first pallet. 9. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to: display within the graphical user interface an auto actuator that, when enabled, causes the lighting load to produce light at a color rendering index (CRI) value that is greater than or equal to a CRI value threshold; determine that the auto actuator is enabled; and wherein to communicate at least one of the first message or the second message to the lighting control device to control the lighting load to the selected color on the first pallet or the selected color on the second pallet comprises to communicate the at least one of the first message or the second message to the lighting control device to control the lighting load to the selected color on the first pallet or the second pallet and to further control the lighting load, based on the auto actuator being enabled, to a CRI value that is greater than or equal to the CRI value threshold. 10. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to: determine that the auto actuator is disabled; responsive to determining that the auto actuator is disabled, display within the graphical user interface a vibrancy actuator to change a vibrancy level of the lighting load; detect an actuation of the vibrancy actuator to set the lighting load to a selected vibrancy level; and responsive to detecting the actuation of the vibrancy actuator to set the lighting load to the selected vibrancy level, communicate via the communications circuit a third message to the lighting control device to control the lighting load to the
