The present invention relates to carbamoyl phenylalaninol analogs and methods of using the same to treat disorders.

What is claimed is: 1. A compound of Formula V: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein: Z is S; Y is C═S or SO 2 ; R is optionally substituted C 1-8 alkyl, halogen, optionally substituted C 1-4 alkoxy, cyano, hydroxy, optionally substituted trifluoromethyl, or C 1-4 thioalkoxy; n is 0, 1, 2, or 3, with the proviso that R may be the same or different when n is 2 or 3; and R 1 and R 2 can be the same or different and are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, optionally substituted C 1-8 alkyl, optionally substituted amide, optionally substituted aryl, optionally substituted heteroaryl, optionally substituted arylalkyl, and optionally substituted C 3-7 cycloalkyl; or R 1 and R 2 can be joined to form a 5 to 7-membered heterocycle optionally substituted with alkyl or aryl groups, wherein the cyclic compound can comprise 1 to 2 nitrogen atoms and 0 to 1 oxygen atom, wherein the nitrogen atoms are not directly connected with each other or with the oxygen atom. 2. The compound of claim 1 , having Formula Va: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 3. The compound of claim 1 , having Formula VIa: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 4. The compound of claim 1 , which is the hydrochloride salt. 5. A composition comprising the compound of claim 1 . 6. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 7. The composition of claim 6 , wherein the composition is a dosage form. 8. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the composition is an immediate release oral dosage form. 9. The composition of claim 8 , wherein the composition is a tablet or a capsule. 10. A kit comprising the compound of claim 1 . 11. The compound of claim 1 , wherein R 1 and R 2 are hydrogen. 12. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 0.
