Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A child carrier includes a carrying harness having a waist strap, a child supporting part connected with the carrying harness and including a hip support portion and a torso support portion connected with each other, and an expandable part extending across the hip support portion and operable to adjust a bottom distance between the torso support portion and the carrying harness. The expandable part has a first end anchored to the waist strap or the child supporting part in a region adjacent the waist strap, and a second end anchored to the child supporting part at a location distant from the first end. The expandable part is foldable to displace the first end and the second end toward each other for reducing the bottom distance, and is stretched as the first and second ends are displaced away from each other for increasing the bottom distance.

A child carrier comprising: a carrying harness having a waist strap; a child supporting part connected with the carrying harness and including a hip support portion and a torso support portion connected with each other; and an expandable part extending across the hip support portion and operable to adjust a bottom distance between the torso support portion and the carrying harness, the expandable part having a first end anchored to the waist strap or the child supporting part in a region adjacent the waist strap, and a second end anchored to the child supporting part at a location distant from the first end, a portion of the expandable part between the first end and the second end thereof being extendible apart from the hip support portion; wherein the expandable part is foldable to displace the first end and the second end toward each other for reducing the bottom distance, and is stretched as the first end and the second end are displaced away from each other for increasing the bottom distance. 2. The child carrier according to claim 1 , wherein the second end of the expandable part is anchored to the torso support portion adjacent to a connection between the torso support portion and the hip support portion. 3. The child carrier according to claim 1 , wherein the expandable part is connected with a fastening structure, the fastening structure being fastened to hold the expandable part in a folded state and unfastened for extension of the expandable part. 4. The child carrier according to claim 3 , wherein the fastening structure is connected with the expandable part between the first end and the second end. 5. The child carrier according to claim 3 , wherein the fastening structure includes a zip fastening system, button fasteners, snap fasteners, buckle fasteners, or hook and loop fasteners. 6. The child carrier according to claim 1 , wherein the expandable part includes a panel, a strip or a band. 7. The child carrier according to claim 1 , wherein the expandable part extends above the hip support portion. 8. A child carrier comprising: a carrying harness having a waist strap; a child supporting part connected with the carrying harness and including a torso support portion, and a hip support portion respectively connected with the waist strap and the torso support portion; and an expandable part extending above the hip support portion and operable to adjust a bottom distance between the torso support portion and the carrying harness, the expandable part having a first end anchored to the waist strap, and a second end anchored to the child supporting part at a location distant from the first end; wherein the expandable part is foldable to displace the first end and the second end toward each other for reducing the bottom distance, and is stretched as the first end and the second end are displaced away from each other for increasing the bottom distance. 9. The child carrier according to claim 8 , wherein the expandable part is connected with a fastening structure, the fastening structure being fastened to hold the expandable part in a folded state and unfastened for extension of the expandable part. 10. The child carrier according to claim 9 , wherein the fastening structure is connected with the expandable part between the first end and the second end. 11. The child carrier according to claim 9 , wherein the fastening structure includes a zip fastening system, button fasteners, snap fasteners, buckle fasteners, or hook and loop fasteners. 12. The child carrier according to claim 8 , wherein the expandable part includes a panel, a strip or a band. 13. A child carrier comprising: a carrying harness; a child supporting part connected with the carrying harness and including a hip support portion and a torso support portion connected with each other; and an expandable part extending across the hip support portion and operable to adjust a bottom distance between the torso support portion and the carrying harness, the expandable part having a first end anchored to the carrying harness or the child supporting part in a region adjacent a connection between the child supporting part and the carrying harness, and a second end anchored to the child supporting part at a location distant from the first end, a portion of the expandable part between the first end and the second end thereof being extendible apart from the hip support portion; wherein the expandable part is foldable to displace the first end and the second end toward each other for reducing the bottom distance, and is stretched as the first end and the second end are displaced away from each other for increasing the bottom distance. 14. The child carrier according to claim 13 , wherein the expandable part is connected with a fastening structure, the fastening structure being fastened to hold the expandable part in a folded state and unfastened for extension of the expandable part. 15. The child carrier according to claim 14 , wherein the fastening structure is connected with the expandable part between the first end and the second end. 16.
