Official abstract text for this publication.
A reversible recording medium according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a reversible recording medium that includes recording layers and heat-insulating layers that are alternately stacked, in which the recording layers each include a reversible heat-sensitive color developing composition and a first light-heat converting agent. In this reversible recording medium, the recording layers are different from each other in a developing color of their respective reversible heat-sensitive color developing compositions and are different from each other in an absorption wavelength of their respective first light-heat converting agents. This reversible recording medium further includes a heat-generating layer that includes a second light-heat converting agent having an absorption wavelength that is different from the absorption wavelength of the first light-heat converting agent included in each of the recording layers.

The invention claimed is: 1. A reversible recording medium, comprising recording layers and heat-insulating layers that are alternately stacked on a base material, the recording layers each including a reversible heat-sensitive color developing composition and a first light-heat converting agent, the recording layers being different from each other in a developing color of their respective reversible heat-sensitive color developing compositions and being different from each other in an absorption wavelength of their respective first light-heat converting agents, wherein at least one of the plurality recording layers including a second light-heat converting agent having an absorption wavelength that is different from the absorption wavelength of the first light-heat converting agent included in each of the recording layers. 2. The reversible recording medium according to claim 1 , further comprising an underlayer that is in contact with a surface of on the base material. 3. The reversible recording medium according to claim 1 , further comprising a protective layer on outermost surface of the reversible recording medium. 4. The reversible recording medium according to claim 1 , further comprising a protective layer on a surface of on the base material. 5. The reversible recording medium according to claim 1 , wherein the absorption wavelength of the second light-heat converting agent is a wavelength that is higher than the absorption wavelength of the first light-heat converting agent included in each of the recording layers. 6. A reversible recording medium, comprising recording layers and heat-insulating layers that are alternately stacked on a base material, the recording layers each including a reversible heat-sensitive color developing composition and a first light-heat converting agent, the recording layers being different from each other in a developing color of their respective reversible heat-sensitive color developing compositions and being different from each other in an absorption wavelength of their respective first light-heat converting agents, wherein at least one layer in contact with at least one of the plurality recording layers including a second light-heat converting agent having an absorption wavelength that is different from the absorption wavelength of the first light-heat converting agent included in each of the recording layers. 7. The reversible recording medium according to claim 6 , further comprising an underlayer that is in contact with a surface of on the base material. 8. The reversible recording medium according to claim 6 , further comprising a protective layer on outermost surface of the reversible recording medium. 9. The reversible recording medium according to claim 6 , further comprising a protective layer on a surface of on the base material. 10. The reversible recording medium according to claim 6 , wherein the absorption wavelength of the second light-heat converting agent is a wavelength that is higher than the absorption wavelength of the first light-heat converting agent included in each of the recording layers.
