What is claimed is: 1. A mold for forming a cover for a golf ball having a non-planar parting line, the mold comprising hemispherical upper and lower mold halves, each mold half having a non-planar mold parting surface, a spherical interior cavity surface, and an edge break connecting the mold parting surface and the interior cavity surface, wherein the edge break has an arcuate profile shape and the same concavity as the interior cavity surface. 2. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the edge break has a radius of from 0.005 inches to 0.063 inches. 3. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the edge break has a radius of from 0.005 inches to 0.020 inches. 4. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the mold comprises a plurality of injection molding gates and wherein each mold half has a plurality of additional edge breaks, each additional edge break connecting the surface of a gate and the interior cavity surface. 5. The mold of claim 4 , wherein the additional edge breaks have the same shape and radius, and wherein the edge break connecting the mold parting surface and the interior cavity surface has the same shape and radius as the additional edge breaks. 6. The mold of claim 1 , wherein each mold half has a theoretical cavity edge located at the point of intersection between an extension of the mold parting surface and an extension of the interior cavity surface, and wherein the distance from the surface of the edge break at the point of intersection between the edge break and the interior cavity surface to the theoretical cavity edge is from 0.0005 inches to 0.0050 inches. 7. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the golf ball cover is an injection molded thermoplastic polyurethane outer cover layer. 8. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the golf ball cover is an injection molded ionomer outer cover layer. 9. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the golf ball cover is a cast polyurethane outer cover layer. 10. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the golf ball cover is a compression molded thermoplastic polyurethane outer cover layer. 11. The mold of claim 1 , wherein the golf ball cover is a compression molded ionomer outer cover layer.
