What is claimed is: 1. A pest control system mounted in a cavity of a wall, ceiling, or floor, the system comprising: a mounting bracket including a circumferential portion defining a portal and a flange portion suitable for attaching to the perimeter of the cavity, wherein the portal has a first side and a second side and the flange portion is located on the second side of the portal, and the circumferential portion extends from the flange portion toward the first side; and a plug configured to be removably attached to the mounting bracket on a first side of the portal such that the plug substantially closes the portal when attached to the mounting bracket, the plug further adapted to accommodate at least one pest control device on a pest control surface exposed on the second side of the portal, wherein the at least one pest control device is positioned proximate the flange portion when the plug is attached to the mounting bracket. 2. The pest control system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one pest control device is attached to the plug to perform pest control. 3. The pest control system of claim 2 , wherein the at least one pest control device includes: a snap trap; a glue trap, a live trap, bait, a camera, an infrared sensor, or a motion detector. 4. The pest control system of claim 2 , wherein the at least one pest control device includes a first pest control device and a second pest control device attached to the plug. 5. The pest control system of claim 1 , wherein the pest control surface is included in a detachable tray, and the detachable tray is separable from the plug. 6. The pest control system of claim 1 , wherein the pest control system is positioned proximate a side of the building. 7. The pest control system of claim 1 , wherein the building surface includes a ceiling, a wall, or a floor. 8. The pest control system of claim 1 , further comprising bracket coupling features and plug coupling features, and wherein the plug coupling features correspond with the bracket coupling features to attach the plug to the mounting bracket. 9. The pest control system of claim 8 , wherein: the bracket coupling features are engaged with the plug coupling features to attach the plug to the mounting bracket in a locked configuration, and the bracket coupling features are disengaged from the plug coupling features, to detach the plug from the mounting bracket in an unlocked configuration. 10. The pest control system of claim 8 , wherein the bracket coupling features are defined in the portal. 11. The pest control system of claim 1 , further comprising: an elongate member including a key, wherein the plug defines a keyway adapted to receive the key; and wherein manipulation of the key allows the plug to removably attach to the mounting bracket. 12. The pest control system of claim 11 , wherein the elongate member has a variable length. 13. The pest control system of claim 1 , wherein the mounting bracket includes a serrated edge along the circumferential portion of the mounting bracket the serrated edge configured to mechanically remove material to create the cavity in the building surface. 14. The pest control system of claim 1 , wherein the mounting bracket includes a pin; and the plug includes a slot configured to receive the pin to facilitate attaching the plug to the mounting bracket, wherein the slot includes: a first portion, wherein the pin is configured to translate along a first axis in the first portion of the slot; and a second portion in communication with the first portion, wherein the pin is configured to translate along a second axis in the second portion of the slot. 15. The pest control system of claim 14 , wherein the slot includes a pin recess in communication with the second portion of the slot, the pin recess sized and shaped to receive the pin, and reception of the pin within the pin recess inhibits movement of the plug along the second axis. 16. The pest control system of claim 1 , wherein: the plug includes a pin; and the mounting bracket includes a slot configured to receive the pin to facilitate, attaching the plug to the mounting bracket, wherein the slot includes: a first portion, wherein the pin is configured to translate along a first axis in the first portion of the slot; and a second portion in communication with the first portion, wherein the pin is configured to translate along a second axis in the second portion of the slot. 17. The pest control system of claim 1 , further comprising a bait support system including: a bait rod having a first end and a second end; an aperture in the plug configured to receive at least a portion of the first end of the bait rod; and a locking mechanism configured to secure the second end so as to lock the bait rod to the plug. 18. The pest control system of claim 17 , wherein the aperture is disposed in a post extending from the plug. 19. The pest control system of claim 17 , wherein the bait rod has a hook portion at the second end configured to be received by the locking mechanism. 20. The pest control system of Maim 19 , wherein the locking mechanism includes a tab with a ridge to releasably hold at least a portion of the hook portion at the second end. 21. A pest control method, comprising: attaching a pest control device to a pest control surface of a plug configured to be removably attached to a mounting bracket adapted to mount in a hole in a wall or other surface of a building wherein: the mounting bracket includes a circumferential portion and a flange portion, wherein the circumferential portion defines a portal; the portal has a first side and a second side, wherein: the flange portion is located on the second side of the portal, and the circumferential poriton extends from the flange portion toward the first side; and the plug substantially closes the portal when the plug is attached to the mounting bracket on the first side of the portal; and installing the plug into the mounting bracket to close the portal, wherein the pest control surface is: located proximate to the flange portion with the plug attached to the mounting bracket; and exposed on the second side of the portal with the plug attached to the mounting bracket. 22. The pest control method of claim 21 , wherein installing the plug includes rotating the plug with respect to the mounting bracket. 23. The pest control method of claim 21 , further comprising positioning a key in a keyway of the plug. 24. The pest control method of claim 23 , further comprising manipulating the key to removably attach the plug with the mounting bracket. 25.
