Opening claim text (preview).
What is claimed is: 1. A vulcanizable elastomer composite comprising at least 40 phr of silica dispersed in natural rubber, wherein, when the vulcanizable elastomer composite is vulcanized, the resulting vulcanizate exhibits a ratio T300/T100 of at least −0.024s+b, wherein s is the amount of silica in the vulcanizable elastomer composite expressed as parts per hundred weight of rubber (phr) and b is 6.3 to 6.8, and has properties a. a tan delta 60 of at most 0.0022s-c, wherein c is 0.06; and b. a tensile strength in MPa of at least −0.21s+d, wherein d is 41 to 41.4; and optionally c. elongation at break (%) * tensile strength (MPa) of at least −211s+e, where e=27543. 2. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizate exhibits a ratio T300/T100 of at least −0.024s+b, wherein b is 6.8. 3. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizate exhibits a tensile strength in MPa of at least −0.21s+d, wherein d is 41.4. 4. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizate exhibits a ratio T300/T100 of at most 7. 5. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizable elastomer composite comprises up to about 180 phr of silica. 6. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizable elastomer composite comprises up to 10% by weight of carbon black with respect to the total weight of reinforcing particles in the vulcanizable elastomer composite. 7. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizate exhibits a tan delta 60 of at least 0.02. 8. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the vulcanizate exhibits a tensile strength of at most 40 MPa. 9. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein said elongation at break (%) * tensile strength (MPa) is at most 21500. 10. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , wherein the silica is precipitated silica. 11. A vulcanized elastomer composite comprising a vulcanizate of the vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 1 , optionally having a swell index of about 1.80 to about 2.20. 12. A vulcanizable elastomer composite comprising silica dispersed in natural rubber, wherein, when the vulcanizable elastomer composite is vulcanized, the resulting vulcanizate exhibits a ratio T300/T100 of at least 5.5 and a tan delta 60 of at most 0.05 and having a swell index of about 1.80 to about 2.20. 13. The vulcanizable elastomer composite of claim 12 , wherein the vulcanizable elastomer composite comprises at least 40 phr of silica.
