Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Methods and systems for automatically providing dynamic content for facilitating a transaction are described herein. An online marketplace is accessed by a client device over a network. A user identifier associated with the client device is passed to a payment service provider via a merchant system associated with the online market place. Dynamic content is generated by the payment service provider in response to the user identifier and subsequently served to the client device over the network.

What is claimed is: 1. A service provider system comprising: one or more computer-readable memories storing program instructions; and one or more hardware processors configured to execute the program instructions to cause the service provider system to perform operations comprising: receiving, from a merchant system, a user identifier associated with a user; determining an account, from a plurality of accounts, that corresponds to the user identifier; in response to the determining the account, from the plurality of accounts, that corresponds to the user identifier, determining content, from a content database, to be provided to a user device of the user; and transmitting the content to the merchant system, wherein the transmitting causes the content to be provided to the user device without requiring the user device to communicate with the service provider system. 2. The service provider system of claim 1 , wherein the content comprises an account balance of the account that corresponds to the user identifier. 3. The service provider system of claim 1 , wherein the content comprises a merchant rating or merchant information corresponding to a merchant associated with the merchant system. 4. The service provider system of claim 1 , wherein, prior to the service provider system receiving the user identifier, the user identifier is obtained by the merchant device system from the user device in response to a user interaction with a webpage or an application page of an online marketplace associated with the merchant system. 5. The service provider system of claim 4 , wherein the user interaction includes a selection of a user interface element associated with a product or a service displayed on the online marketplace. 6. The service provider system of claim 1 , wherein the content is determined based on the user identifier or information provided by the merchant system. 7. The service provider system of claim 1 , wherein the content is determined based on information associated with the account corresponding to the user identifier. 8. A method comprising: receiving, from a merchant system by one or more hardware processors associated with a service provider system, a user identifier associated with a user; determining, by the one or more hardware processors and from a plurality of accounts, an account that corresponds to the user identifier; determining, by the one or more hardware processors, content, from a content database, to be provided to a user device of the user based on the account; and transmitting, by the one or more hardware processors, the content to the merchant system, wherein the transmitting causes the content to be provided to the user device without requiring the user device to communicate with the service provider system. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the content comprises an account balance of the account that corresponds to the user identifier. 10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the content comprises a merchant rating or merchant information corresponding to a merchant associated with the merchant system. 11. The method of claim 8 , wherein, prior to receiving the user identifier, the user identifier is obtained by the merchant device from the user device in response to a user interaction with a webpage or an application page of an online marketplace associated with the merchant system. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the user interaction includes a selection of a user interface element associated with a product or a service displayed on the online marketplace. 13. The method of claim 8 , wherein the content is determined based on the user identifier or information provided by the merchant system. 14. The method of claim 8 , wherein the content is determined based on information associated with the account corresponding to the user identifier. 15. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing program instructions, the program instructions when executed cause a machine associated with a service provider system to perform operations comprising: receiving, from a merchant system, a user identifier associated with a user; determining an account, from a plurality of accounts, that corresponds to the user identifier; in response to the determining the account, determining content, from a content database, to be provided to a user device of the user; and transmitting the content to the merchant system, wherein the transmitting causes the content to be provided to the user device without requiring the user device to communicate with the service provider system. 16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the content comprises an account balance of the account that corresponds to the user identifier. 17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the content comprises a merchant rating or merchant information corresponding to a merchant associated with the merchant system. 18. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein, prior to the service provider system receiving the user identifier, the user identifier is obtained by the merchant device from the user device in response to a user interaction with a webpage or an application page of an online marketplace associated with the merchant system. 19. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the user interaction comprises a selection of a user interface element associated with a product or a service displayed on the online marketplace. 20. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the content is determined based on information associated with the account corresponding to the user identifier or information provided by the merchant system.
