In the formula (2), at least one pair of a pair of X1 and X2, a pair of X2 and X3, a pair of X3 and X4, a pair of X4 and X5, a pair of X7 and X8, a pair of X8 and X9, a pair of X10 and X11, a pair of X11 and X12, a pair of X12 and X13, and a pair of X16 and X1 are carbon atoms to be bonded to a structure represented by as formula (2a) or (2b) below,

The invention claimed is: 1. A compound represented by a formula (2) below, where: X 1 to X 5 , X 7 to X 13 , and X 16 each independently represent CR x or a carbon atom to be bonded to a structure represented by a formula (2a) or (2b) below; X 6 , X 14 , and X 15 each independently represent CR x ; R x each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R x as the substituent is each independently selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylthio group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 30 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted phosphanyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted phosphoryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylcarbonyl group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a cyano group, a nitro group, a carboxy group, and a halogen atom; a plurality of R x are mutually the same or different; when a plurality of ones of X 1 to X 16 are CR x and R x is a substituent, a plurality of R x as the substituents are not bonded to each other; and at least one pair of a pair of X 1 and X 2 , a pair of X 2 and X 3 , a pair of X 3 and X 4 , a pair of X 4 and X 5 , a pair of X 7 and X 8 , a pair of X 8 and X 9 , a pair of X 10 and X 11 , a pair of X 11 and X 12 , a pair of X 12 and X 13 , and a pair of X 16 and X 1 are carbon atoms to be bonded to the structure represented by the formula (2a) or (2b) below, in the formula (2a): 2 represent bonding positions to carbon atoms at one pair of the pair of X 1 and X 2 , the pair of X 3 and X 4 , the pair of X 4 and X 5 , the pair of X 7 and X 8 , the pair of X 8 and X 9 , the pair of X 10 and X 11 , the pair of X 11 and X 12 , the pair of X 12 and X 13 , and the pair of X 16 and X 1 in the formula (2); R 111 to R 114 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R 111 to R 114 as the substituents are each independently selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylthio group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 30 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted phosphanyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted phosphoryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylcarbonyl group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a cyano group, a nitro group, a carboxy group, and a halogen atom; and at least one pair of a pair of R 111 and R 112 , a pair of R 112 and R 113 , and a pair of R 113 and R 114 are substituents, and the substituents are bonded to each other to form a ring, in the formula (2b): *2 represent bonding positions to carbon atoms at one pair of the pair of X 1 and X 2 , the pair of X 2 and X 3 , the pair of X 3 and X 4 , the pair of X 4 and X 5 , the pair of X 7 and X 8 , the pair of X 8 and X 9 , the pair of X 10 and X 11 , the pair of X 11 and X 12 , the pair of X 12 and X 13 , and the pair of X 16 and X 1 in the formula (2); R 115 and R 116 as the substituents are bonded to each other to further form a ring, or are not bonded to each other; X is selected from the group consisting of an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, CR 117 R 118 , SiR 119 R 120 and NR 121 ; R 117 to R 121 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R 117 to R 121 as the substituents are each independently selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylthio group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 30 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted phosphanyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted phosphoryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylcarbonyl group having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms, a cyano group, a nitro group, a carboxy group, and a halogen atom; The compound according to claim 1 , wherein at least one pair of the pair of X 1 and X 2 and the pair of X 3 and X 4 in the formula (2) are carbon atoms to be bonded to the structure represented by the formula (2a). 3.
