Official abstract text for this publication.
The present disclosure relates to a communication scheme and system for the convergence of a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transfer rate after the 4G system and the IoT technology. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (e.g., a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retain business, security and safety-related service) based on the 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. The present disclosure provides methods and apparatus for supporting a profile transfer between terminals and methods and apparatus for supporting easy use of a communication product.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for a first terminal to support a profile transfer in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: obtaining a first input to transfer a first profile installed in the first terminal to a second terminal; obtaining a second input to select a first mode used for transferring first information among a plurality of modes; obtaining a third input to select a second mode used for transferring second information among a plurality of modes; generating the first information including integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) for the first profile being transferred and the second information including a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) identifier of the first terminal using the first mode and the second mode; outputting, to the second terminal, at least one of the first information or the second information; and receiving, from a network entity, a message that allows a user to confirm the transfer of the first profile to the second terminal, wherein the plurality of modes includes at least one of a quick response (QR) code, Bluetooth® communication, near field communication (NFC), WiFi® communication, or a user input, and wherein the first mode is different from the second mode. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising disabling the first profile in the first terminal after information for enabling a second profile is output, wherein the information for enabling the second profile is input to the second terminal using at least one of a QR code, Bluetooth® communication, NFC, WiFi® communication or a user input. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the network entity comprises a service provider server, a profile management server or a profile server. 4. A method for a second terminal to support a profile transfer in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, from a first terminal, at least one of first information including integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) for a first profile being transferred or second information including a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) identifier of the first terminal using a first mode or a second mode; transmitting, to a network entity, a message requesting the network entity to transmit a second profile corresponding to the first profile to the second terminal; and downloading, from the network entity, the second profile, wherein a first input is obtained to transfer a first profile installed in the first terminal to a second terminal, wherein the first mode is selected by a second input for transferring the first information among a plurality of modes, wherein the second mode is selected by a third input for transferring the second information among a plurality of modes, wherein the first mode is different from the second mode, and wherein the plurality of modes includes at least one of a quick response (QR) code, Bluetooth® communication, near field communication (NFC), WiFi® communication, or a user input. 5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising enabling the downloaded second profile when receiving information for enabling the second profile, and wherein: the information for enabling the second profile corresponds to information for disabling the first profile, and the first profile installed on the first terminal is disabled when the information for enabling the second profile is received. 6. The method of claim 4 , wherein downloading the second profile is initiated when the network entity notifies the second terminal of a transmission, when the downloading is selected by a user input or when the second terminal requests the downloading from the network entity. 7. The method of claim 4 , wherein the network entity comprises a service provider server, a profile management server or a profile server. 8. A first terminal supporting profile transfer in a wireless communication system, the first terminal comprising: a transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals; and a controller configured to: obtain a first input to transfer a first profile installed in the first terminal to a second terminal, obtain a second input to select a first mode used for transferring first information among a plurality of modes, obtain a third input to select a second mode used for transferring second information among a plurality of modes, generate the first information including integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) for the first profile being transferred and the second information including a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) identifier of the first terminal using the first mode and the second mode, output, to the second terminal, at least one of the first information or the second information, and receive, from a network entity, a message that allows a user to confirm the transfer of the first profile to the second terminal, wherein the plurality of modes includes at least one of a quick response (QR) code, Bluetooth® communication, near field communication (NFC), WiFi® communication, or a user input, and wherein the first mode is different from the second mode. 9. The first terminal of claim 8 , the controller further configured to disable the first profile in the first terminal after information for enabling a second profile is output, and wherein the information for enabling the second profile is input to the second terminal using at least one of a QR code, Bluetooth® communication, NFC, WiFi® communication or a user input. 10. The first terminal of claim 8 , wherein the network entity comprises a service provider server, a profile management server or a profile server. 11. A second terminal supporting profile transfer in a wireless communication system, the second terminal comprising: a transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals; and a controller configured to: receive, from a first terminal, at least one of first information including integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) for a first profile being transferred or second information including a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) identifier of the first terminal using a first mode and a second mode, transmit, to a network entity, a message requesting the network entity to transmit a second profile corresponding to the first profile to the second terminal, and download, from the network entity, the second profile, wherein a first input is obtained to transfer a first profile installed in the first terminal to a second terminal, wherein the first mode is selected by a second input for transferring the first information among a plurality of modes, wherein the second mode is selected by a third input for transferring the second information among a plurality of modes, wherein the first mode is different from the second mode, and wherein the plurality of modes includes at least one of a quick response (QR) code, Bluetooth® communication, near field communication (NFC), WiFi® communication, or a user input. 12. The second terminal of claim 11 , the controller further configured to enable the downloaded second profile when receiving information for enabling the second profile, and wherein: the information for enabling the second profile corresponds to information for disabling the first profile, and the first profile installed on the first terminal is disabled when the information for enabling the second profile is received. 13. The second terminal of claim 11 , wherein downloading the second profile is initiated when the network entity notifies the second terminal of a transmission, when the downloading is selected by a user input or when the second terminal requests the downloading from the network entit
