An electric drive motorcycle (100) is competed with a filter box in the rear portion thereof, without limiting the space available for the batteries, comprises: a front portion comprising one or more front wheels and a handlebar; a rear portion comprising a saddle (101), a shell body arranged below said saddle (101), and a rear wheel arranged below said shell body; an intermediate portion extending as a connection between said front portion and said rear portion; an electric drive unit (8) connected to said rear wheel (105); and a hybrid supply unit supplying said electric drive unit (8), comprising at least a battery unit (115) and a combustion engine (116) actuating an electric generator (120), said combustion engine (116) comprising an exhaust duct (133) with an expansion chamber (134) and a filter box (135) for feeding air to the combustion engine (116), wherein said electric generator (120) is apt to supply said battery unit (115) and/or said electric drive unit, wherein, inside the shell body (107) and below the saddle (101), a housing space is provided extending from one side to the other one of the shell body (107) and which receives the hybrid supply unit, in a first portion thereof, and wherein said filter box (135) and said exhaust duct (133) are arranged on the same side of the motorcycle.

The invention claimed is: 1. An electric drive motorcycle, comprising: a front portion having one or more front wheels and a handlebar; a rear portion having a saddle, a shell body arranged below said saddle, and a rear wheel arranged below said shell body; an intermediate portion extending as a connection between said front portion and said rear portion; an electric drive unit connected to the rear wheel; a hybrid supply unit supplying the electric drive unit, the hybrid supply unit including at least a battery unit and a combustion engine configured to actuate an electric generator, said combustion engine having an exhaust duct with an expansion chamber and a filter box configured to feed air to the combustion engine, wherein said electric generator is configured to supply at least one of said battery unit and said electric drive unit, wherein a housing inside the shell body, and located below the saddle, extends from a first shell body side to a second shell body side and includes the hybrid supply unit in a first portion of the housing, wherein the electric drive motorcycle has a left side and a right side relative to the direction of travel of the electric drive motorcycle, and wherein said filter box and said exhaust duct are arranged on a same side of the electric drive motorcycle. 2. The electric drive motorcycle of claim 1 , wherein: the battery unit is located in a second portion of said housing. 3. The electric drive motorcycle of claim 1 , wherein: said saddle is movable, the shell body includes a helmet carrying compartment, accessible through an opening at a top portion of the helmet carrying compartment by moving said saddle, and the helmet carrying compartment has a bottom wall, said housing located below said bottom wall. 4. The electric drive motorcycle for claim 3 , wherein: the helmet carrying compartment has compartment side walls and wherein a fuel tank is arranged adjacent to the side walls of the helmet carrying compartment. 5. The electric drive motorcycle according to claim 4 , wherein: the tank is located above the battery unit. 6. The electric drive motorcycle of claim 1 , further comprising: a control unit received in a case located below said housing, such that the case and the hybrid supply unit are arranged stacked on each other.
