This disclosure provides connectors for smart windows. A smart window may incorporate an optically switchable pane. In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity. Pre-wired spacers improve fabrication efficiency and seal integrity of insulated glass units. Electrical connection systems include those embedded in the secondary seal of the insulated glass unit.

What is claimed is: 1. A window or door, comprising: a movable pane configured to movably mount in a frame, the pane having an electrochromic device; and a flexible cable having wiring in electrical communication with bus bars disposed on conductive layers of the electrochromic device, the flexible cable configured for movement of the movable pane. 2. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the flexible cable is a ribbon cable. 3. The window or door of claim 2 , wherein the ribbon cable comprises up to 24 wires, up to 18 wires, up to 8 wires, or up to 4 wires. 4. The window or door of claim 2 , wherein the ribbon cable comprises more than 24 wires. 5. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the flexible cable includes a first connector and a second connector, the first connector in electrical communication with the electrochromic device and the second connector in electrical communication with a controller. 6. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the flexible cable includes a connector including one or more magnetic elements. 7. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the movable pane is hinged to the frame. 8. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the movable pane is configured to rotate with respect to the frame. 9. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the movable pane is in an insulated glass unit. 10. The window or door of claim 1 , further comprising a movement mechanism configured to position the movable pane in one of an open position, a close position, and an intermediate position. 11. The window or door of claim 10 , wherein the movement mechanism comprises one or more arms configured to rotate and/or translate the movable pane. 12. The window or door of claim 11 , wherein the flexible connector is attached to at least one of the arms of the movement mechanism. 13. The window or door of claim 11 , wherein the flexible connector is attached to the at least one of the arms of the movement mechanism by one or more of an adhesive, one or more brackets, one or more clips, and Velcro. 14. The window or door of claim 11 , wherein the flexible connector is a ribbon cable comprising one or more folds configured to conform to the movement mechanism. 15. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the movable pane is configured to be in an open position, an intermediate position, or a close position. 16. The window or door of claim 1 , further comprising a controller configured to control movement of the movable pane. 17. The window or door of claim 16 , wherein the controller is coupled to the frame. 18. The window or door of claim 16 , wherein the controller is further configured to control optical transitions of the electrochromic device. 19. The window or door of claim 1 , further comprising a controller, wherein the flexible cable is configured to electrically connect the controller with the electrochromic device. 20. The window or door of claim 19 , wherein the flexible cable is further configured to electrically connect the controller with one or more sensors. 21. The window or door of claim 1 , wherein the flexible cable comprises wires in electrical communication with the bus bars.
