According to one implementation, an image generation system includes a rotor and a motor for spinning the rotor about an axis of rotation, and a display secured to the rotor. The display includes a display surface and a display aperture, a first privacy screen situated at the display surface and having a convex curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface, and a second privacy screen situated between the first privacy screen and the display aperture and having a concave curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface. The first privacy screen and the second privacy screen are configured to substantially prevent rotational blur of an image displayed by the display surface while the display is spun by the motor and the rotor.

What is claimed is: 1. An image generation system comprising: a base including a rotor and a motor for spinning the rotor about an axis of rotation; a display secured to the rotor, wherein the display includes a display surface and a display aperture; a first privacy screen situated at the display surface, the first privacy screen having a convex curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface; a second privacy screen situated between the first privacy screen and the display aperture, the second privacy screen having a concave curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface; wherein the first privacy screen and the second privacy screen are configured to substantially prevent rotational blur of an image displayed by the display surface while the display is spun by the motor and the rotor. 2. The image generation system of claim 1 , wherein the display surface is on the axis of rotation. 3. The image generation system of claim 1 , wherein a radius of curvature of the first privacy screen and a radius of curvature of the second privacy screen are substantially the same. 4. The image generation system of claim 1 , wherein the first privacy screen and the second privacy screen comprise at least one of polycarbonate, acrylic, and polyethylene. 5. The image generation system of claim 1 , wherein the image displayed by the display surface is rendered as a two-dimensional (2D) graphic on the display surface, and wherein spinning the display by the motor and the rotor causes the rendered 2D graphic to appear as a three-dimensional (3D) floating image. 6. The image generation system of claim 1 , wherein the display surface is part of a mobile communication device configured to spin with the display. 7. An image generation system comprising: a base including a rotor and a motor for spinning the rotor about an axis of rotation; a display secured to the rotor, wherein the display includes a display surface and a display aperture; a first privacy screen situated at the display surface, the first privacy screen having a concave curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface; a second privacy screen situated between the first privacy screen and the display aperture, the second privacy screen having a convex curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface; wherein the first privacy screen and the second privacy screen are configured to substantially prevent rotational blur of an image displayed by the display surface while the display is spun by the motor and the rotor. 8. The image generation system of claim 7 , wherein the display surface is on the axis of rotation. 9. The image generation system of claim 7 , wherein a radius of curvature of the first privacy screen and a radius of curvature of the second privacy screen are substantially the same. 10. The image generation system of claim 7 , wherein the first privacy screen and the second privacy screen comprise at least one of polycarbonate, acrylic, and polyethylene. 11. The image generation system of claim 7 , wherein the image displayed by the display surface is rendered as a two-dimensional (2D) graphic on the display surface, and wherein spinning the display by the motor and the rotor causes the rendered 2D graphic to appear as a three-dimensional (3D) floating image. 12. The image generation system of claim 7 , wherein the display surface is part of a mobile communication device configured to spin with the display. 13. A method for use by an image generation system having a base including a rotor and a motor for spinning the rotor about an axis of rotation, a display secured to the rotor, wherein the display includes a display surface and a display aperture, a first privacy screen situated at the display surface, the first privacy screen having a first curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface, and a second privacy screen situated between the first privacy screen and the display aperture, the second privacy screen having a second curvature relative to light emitted from the display surface, the method comprising: spinning the display, using the motor and the rotor, about the axis of rotation; emitting light from the display surface to display an image while spinning the display; restricting a first viewing angle of the light emitted from the display surface at a first lateral side of the display surface using the first privacy screen having the first curvature; and restricting a second viewing angle of the light emitted from the display surface at a second lateral side of the display surface opposite the first lateral side using the second privacy screen having the second curvature to substantially prevent rotational blur of the image being displayed by the display surface while the display is spinning. 14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the first curvature is convex relative to light emitted from the display surface and wherein the second curvature is concave relative to light emitted from the display surface. 15. The method of claim 13 , wherein the first curvature is concave relative to light emitted from the display surface and wherein the second curvature is convex relative to light emitted from the display surface. 16. The method of claim 13 , wherein the display surface is on the axis of rotation. 17. The method of claim 13 , wherein a radius of curvature of the first privacy screen and a radius of curvature of the second privacy screen are substantially the same. 18. The method of claim 13 , wherein the first privacy screen and the second privacy screen comprise at least one of polycarbonate, acrylic, and polyethylene. 19. The method of claim 13 , wherein the image displayed by the display surface is rendered as a two-dimensional (2D) graphic on the display surface, and wherein spinning the display by the motor and the rotor causes the rendered 2D graphic to appear as a three-dimensional (3D) floating image. 20. The method of claim 13 , wherein the display surface is part of a mobile communication device configured to spin with the display.
