Provided is the positive electrode active material for a potassium ion battery according to the embodiment comprises a compound represented by Formula (1), in which M represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of V, Fe, Co, Ni, and Mn, and x represents a number from 0 to 1; and is a positive electrode for a potassium ion battery comprising the positive electrode active material for a potassium ion battery according to the embodiment, or a potassium ion battery comprising the positive electrode for a potassium ion battery.KMOxPO4F1-x  [Formula (1)].

What is claimed is: 1. A positive electrode active material for a potassium ion battery, the positive electrode active material comprising a compound represented by the following Formula (1): KMO x PO 4 F 1-x   [Formula (1)] wherein, in Formula (1), M represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of V, Fe, Co, Ni, and Mn, and x represents a number higher than 0 and less than 1. 2. The positive electrode active material for a potassium ion battery according to claim 1 , wherein M in Formula (1) is V. 3. A positive electrode for a potassium ion battery, the positive electrode comprising the positive electrode active material for a potassium ion battery according to claim 1 . 4. A potassium ion battery, comprising the positive electrode for a potassium ion battery according to claim 3 . 5. A method utilizing the positive electrode active material according to claim 1 in a potassium ion battery comprising: preparing a positive electrode that comprises the positive electrode material; and assembling the positive electrode with a negative electrode and an electrolyte to form a potassium ion battery.
