What is claimed is: 1. A method of inhibiting neuronal cell death in an infant in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the infant a nutritional composition consisting essentially of a casein protein with a degree of hydrolysis of 10% to 75% and a mixture of a monoglycerol palmitate, soy lecithin, cholesterol, and at least one of a free fatty acid from soy and a salt of a free fatty acid from soy, and wherein after administration the infant's neuronal cell death is reduced. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the infant in need thereof is a preterm infant. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the nutritional composition is a human milk fortifier. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the nutritional composition is a powdered human milk fortifier. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the nutritional composition is an infant formula. 6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the nutritional composition is a preterm infant formula. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the nutritional composition further comprises a carbohydrate. 8. A method of treating neuronal tissue inflammation in an infant in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the infant a nutritional composition consisting essentially of a casein protein with a degree of hydrolysis of 10% to 75% and a mixture of a monoglycerol palmitate, soy lecithin, cholesterol, and at least one of a free fatty acid from soy and a salt of a free fatty acid from soy, and wherein after administration the infant's neuronal tissue inflammation is reduced. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the nutritional composition is a human milk fortifier. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the nutritional composition is a powdered human milk fortifier. 11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the nutritional composition is an infant formula. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the nutritional composition is a preterm infant formula. 13. A method of reducing neuronal tissue inflammation in an infant in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the infant a nutritional composition consisting essentially of a casein protein with a degree of hydrolysis of 10% to 75% and a mixture of a monoglycerol palmitate, soy lecithin, cholesterol, and at least one of a free fatty acid from soy and a salt of a free fatty acid from soy.
