An electronic device includes a touch screen display, an input/output interface, a communication circuit, a memory, and a processor, and the processor modifies screen configuration information associated with at least a part of a resolution, a density, and an orientation of a screen output by the electronic device if the electronic device is connected to the external display device through the input/output interface, determines whether a target application to be displayed on the external display device supports resizing of a window that displays an execution screen of the target application, configures a first type of window which is resizable if the target application supports the resizing, configures a second type of window with a fixed size if the target application does not support the resizing, and displays the first type of window or the second type of window on the external display device.

What is claimed is: 1. A mobile electronic apparatus comprising: a display; a memory; a communication interface; and a processor configured to: display, via the display, a first execution screen of a first application being executed, control the communication interface to communicate with an external display device, generate a screen image to be displayed via the external display device, the generated screen image including a second execution screen of the first application being executed, control the communication interface to transmit data corresponding to the generated screen image to the external display device, determine, whether the first application supports resizing, and when the first application supports resizing, generate a user interface item, included with the generated screen image, for expanding a size of the second execution screen while the first application is displayed on the external display device, wherein when the first application does not support resizing, the generated screen image does not include the user interface item, wherein both the first execution screen and the second execution screen correspond to the same first application, and wherein the first execution screen does not include the user interface item while the first application is displayed. 2. The mobile electronic apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first execution screen is configured to maintain a fixed size. 3. The mobile electronic apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the first execution screen further comprises one or more buttons configured to execute respective functions. 4. The mobile electronic apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to display, via the external display device, a home screen of the mobile electronic apparatus. 5. The mobile electronic apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the processor is configured to display one or more of folders or icons corresponding to the first application via the external display device. 6. The mobile electronic apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to display a third execution screen corresponding to a second application. 7. The mobile electronic apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the communication interface comprises a wired connection or a wireless connection. 8. The mobile electronic apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to control the external display device, via the communication interface, in response to one or more inputs detected on the display. 9. A window management method of an electronic device, the method comprising: displaying, via a display of the electronic device, a first execution screen of a first application being executed; communicating with an external display device; generating a screen image to be displayed via the external display device, the generated screen image including a second execution screen of the first application being executed; and transmitting data corresponding to the generated screen image to the external display device, wherein both the first execution screen and the second execution screen correspond to the same first application; determining, whether the first application supports resizing; and when the first application supports resizing, generating a user interface item, included with the generated screen image, for expanding a size of the second execution screen while the first application is displayed on the external display device, wherein when the first application does not support resizing, the generated screen image does not include the user interface item, wherein the first execution screen does not include the user interface item the first application is displayed. 10. The window management method of claim 9 , wherein the first execution screen is configured to maintain a fixed size. 11. The window management method claim 10 , wherein the first execution screen further comprises one or more buttons configured to execute respective functions. 12. The window management method of claim 9 , further comprising displaying, via the external display device, a home screen of the electronic device. 13. The window management method of claim 12 , wherein further comprising displaying one or more of folders or icons corresponding to the first application via the external display device. 14. The window management method of claim 9 , further comprising controlling the external display device in response to one or more inputs detected on the display. 15. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a plurality of instructions that, when executed by a processor of a mobile electronic device, is configured to cause the processor to: display, via a display of the mobile electronic device, a first execution screen of a first application being executed; control a communication interface of the mobile electronic device to communicate with an external display device; generate a screen image to be displayed via the external display device, the generated screen image including a second execution screen of the first application being executed; control the communication interface of the mobile electronic device to transmit data corresponding to the generated screen image to the external display device; determine, whether the first application supports resizing; and when the first application supports resizing, generate a user interface item, included with the generated screen image, for expanding a size of the second execution screen while the first application is displayed on the external display device, wherein when the first application does not support resizing, the generated screen image does not include the user interface item, wherein both the first execution screen and the second execution screen correspond to the same first application, wherein the first execution screen does not include the user interface item while the first application is displayed. 16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of instructions that, when executed are further configured to cause the processor to display the first execution screen with a fixed size. 17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of instructions that, when executed are further configured to cause the processor to display the first execution screen that includes one or more buttons configured to execute respective functions. 18. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the first execution screen includes a first set of buttons to modify the first execution screen, wherein the second execution screen includes a second set of buttons to modify the second execution screen, and wherein the second set of buttons is different from the first set of buttons. 19. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of instructions that, when executed are further configured to cause the processor to display, via the external display device, a home screen of the mobile electronic device. 20. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of instructions that, when executed are further configured to cause the processor to display one or more of folders or icons corresponding to the first application via the external display device.
