A high pressure hose includes three or more reinforcing layers coaxially layered on one another between an inner surface layer and an outer surface layer coaxially layered on each other. An average braid angle obtained by averaging braid angles of the respective reinforcing layers is greater than or equal to 53.5° and less than or equal to 55.5°. The braid angles increase toward the reinforcing layer at an outermost circumference. Reinforcing wires constituting the reinforcing layer at an innermost circumference have elongation at break of greater than or equal to 3.0% and less than or equal to 4.0% and breaking strength of greater than or equal to 500 N. Reinforcing wires constituting the reinforcing layers other than the reinforcing layer at the innermost circumference have elongation at break of greater than or equal to 2.0% and less than 3.0% and breaking strength of greater than or equal to 500 N.
