What is claimed is: 1. A disposable absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, a pair of opposing longitudinal side edges, and a pair of end edges, each of which is joined to each of the opposing longitudinal side edges on opposite ends of the disposable absorbent article, the disposable absorbent article further comprising: a. a liquid pervious topsheet comprising a body facing surface; b. a liquid impervious backsheet having a garment-facing surface; c. an absorbent core disposed between said liquid pervious topsheet and said liquid impervious backsheet; d. a pair of cuffs, each of which comprising one or more elastic strands; and e. an internally visible serviceable indicium that is visible on or through said body facing surface of said liquid pervious topsheet, wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium extends across the longitudinal axis, and wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium is disposed inboard of the pair of longitudinal side edges and inboard of the pair of end edges such that the internally visible serviceable indicium does not form a portion of either end edge; f. wherein the cuffs comprise a cuff color that is complementary to a color of the internally visible serviceable indicium; g. wherein the cuff color exists from tinting the material from which the cuffs are made; and h. wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium extends across an intersection between the longitudinal axis and the transverse axis. 2. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium is disposed proximate a longitudinal side edge of the article. 3. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium is disposed proximate first and second ends of the article. 4. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium comprises two different indicia. 5. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium comprises a color, pattern, or texture to distinguish one region of the body facing surface from another region of the body facing surface. 6. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium extends across the transverse axis. 7. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the backsheet comprise a color, and wherein the pair of cuffs are defined by a portion of the backsheet which is folded about the elastic strands such that a portion of the backsheet is visible from the body facing surface. 8. A disposable absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, a pair of opposing longitudinal side edges, and a pair of end edges, each of which is joined to each of the opposing longitudinal side edges on opposite ends of the disposable absorbent article, the disposable absorbent article further comprising: a. a topsheet comprising a body facing surface; b. a backsheet comprising a film and a nonwoven, the backsheet having a garment-facing surface; c. an absorbent core disposed between said topsheet and said backsheet; d. a pair of cuffs, each being defined by a portion of a longitudinal side edge of said backsheet that is folded over one or more elastic strands; e. an internally visible serviceable indicium that is visible on or through said body facing surface of said topsheet, wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium extends across the longitudinal axis, and wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium is disposed inboard of the pair of longitudinal side edges and inboard of the pair of end edges such that the internally visible serviceable indicium does not form a portion of either end edge; f. wherein the cuffs comprise a cuff color that is complementary to a color of the internally visible serviceable indicium; g. wherein the cuff color exists from tinting the material from which the cuffs are made; and h. wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium extends across an intersection between the longitudinal axis and the transverse axis. 9. The disposable absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium is disposed a proximate longitudinal side edge of the article. 10. The disposable absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium is disposed proximate first and second ends of the article. 11. The disposable absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium comprises two different indicia. 12. The disposable absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium comprises a color, pattern, or texture to distinguish one region of the body facing surface from another region of the body facing surface. 13. The disposable absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the internally visible serviceable indicium extends across the transverse axis. 14. The disposable absorbent article of claim 7 , wherein backsheet comprises a film.
