A disc brake and a brake lining for a commercial vehicle are provided. The disc brake includes a brake caliper on a stationary brake carrier and straddling a brake disc. The brake carrier has at least one brake lining space, in particular two brake lining spaces, each of which is delimited by lateral brake carrier lugs and accommodates a brake lining. At least one respective dimensionally stable blocking element is provided as a counter bearing against the insertion direction of the brake pads. The blocking elements are supported on the brake pads and/or or the brake carrier and are held on the brake carrier and/or on the brake pads.

The disc brake according to claim 1 , wherein each locking element is held in a positively or frictionally locking manner on at least one of the brake carrier and the respective brake lining. 3. The disc brake according to claim 1 , wherein the brake carrier lugs have slots which extend in a brake application direction configured to receive a limb section of the locking element. 4. The disc brake according to claim 3 , wherein two of the locking elements are associated with each brake lining, and the two locking elements are held on the brake carrier lugs in a rotationally secured and lockable manner. 5. The disc brake according to claim 1 , wherein at least one spacer element is arranged between the respective brake lining and a brake carrier surface defining the brake lining space. 6. The disc brake according to claim 5 , wherein the at least one spacer element is at least one of a spring element, a sliding plate, and a bolt. 7. The disc brake according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one brake lining space includes two brake lining spaces on opposite sides of the brake disc of the disc brake, the brake lining associated with a first one of the two brake lining spaces is arranged in the first one of the two brake lining spaces, and the brake lining associated with a second one of the two brake lining spaces is supported on the brake caliper. 8. A disc brake for a utility vehicle comprising: a brake caliper configured to engage over a vehicle brake disc and be secured to a positionally fixed brake carrier, the brake carrier having at least one lining space bounded by lateral brake carrier lugs, a brake lining associated with each of the at least one lining spaces, each brake lining being configured to be inserted into the respective one of the at least one lining spaces in an insertion direction, a locking element associated with each brake lining, the locking element being dimensionally stable when in an installed position in the disc brake, is arranged as a counter bearing in the opposite direction to the insertion direction of the brake lining, wherein each locking element is supported on the respective brake lining or the brake carrier and is secured to the brake carrier or to the respective brake lining, the lateral brake carrier lugs include at least one recess facing the at least one lining space into which the locking element is engaged, and each locking element is a flexurally rigid, hoop shaped sheet metal strip configured to extend between opposing ones of the brake carrier lugs on a side of the brake lining facing away from a rotation axis of the brake disc, such that two ends of the at least one locking element each engage in one of the opposing ones of the brake carrier lugs in a positively locking manner. 9. The disc brake according to claim 8 , wherein each locking element includes two limbs connected by a non-elastic hinge. 10. The disc brake according to claim 9 , wherein each locking element is configured to be secured to the respective brake lining. 11. A disc brake for a utility vehicle, comprising: a brake caliper configured to engage over a vehicle brake disc and be secured to a positionally fixed brake carrier, wherein the brake carrier has at least one lining space bounded by lateral brake carrier lugs, a brake lining associated with each of the at least one lining spaces, each brake lining being configured to be inserted into the respective one of the at least one lining spaces in an insertion direction, and a locking element associated with each brake lining, the locking element being dimensionally stable when in an installed position in the disc brake, is arranged as a counter bearing in the opposite direction to the insertion direction of the brake lining, wherein each locking element is supported on the respective brake lining or the brake carrier and is secured to the brake carrier or to the respective brake lining, the lateral brake carrier lugs include at least one recess facing the at least one lining space into which the locking element is engaged, each locking element includes a locking bolt configured to be located a cutout in at least one of one of the brake carrier lugs and the respective brake lining, and the locking bolt is held in the cutout in a linear or pivotable manner in a plane parallel to a rotation axis of the brake disc. 12.
