Analogues of an alternatively spliced form of atrial natriuretic peptide (MANP) that exhibit pGC-A gain of function and can be used to treat cardiorenal and metabolic disease are described herein.

What is claimed is: 1. A natriuretic polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:5. 2. A natriuretic polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3, or SEQ ID NO:6. 3. A natriuretic polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:15. 4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and the polypeptide of claim 1 . 5. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and the polypeptide of claim 2 . 6.
