A deposition system has a reservoir of a material to be deposited, the material having fibers, a print head having a mixer to generate a mixed flow of the materials having fibers, a flow focusing section arranged to cause short fibers to align inside the print head, and an outlet of the print head to allow the material to be deposited on a substrate, and a controller to actuate the print head to control an orientation of the print head relative to a substrate to cause longer fibers to align external to the print head. A deposition system includes a reservoir of a material to be deposited, the material having fibers, a print head connected to the reservoir of material by a conduit, the print head having an exit nozzle and an actuator, the actuator to control the orientation of the exit nozzle relative to a substrate.

What is claimed is: 1. A deposition system, comprising: a reservoir of a selected material to be deposited comprising a fluid resin having fibers dispersed therein, the fibers having a known length; a print head connected to the reservoir of material by a conduit, the print head having an exit nozzle having a known diameter and an actuator, the actuator to control an angle of orientation of the exit nozzle relative to a substrate while the material is flowing; and a controller coupled to the reservoir and the print head to control motion of the actuator to dynamically change the angle of the exit nozzle relative to the substrate during the print process, and to vary a flow of the material to dynamically modulate fiber orientation of fibers having a largest dimension smaller than the exit nozzle prior to extrusion, wherein the actuator is configured to move the print head in six axes of motion. 2. The deposition system of claim 1 , wherein the print head further comprises a flow focusing section and a fluidic particle alignment section. 3. The deposition of claim 1 , wherein the print head further comprises a reactive bonding section. 4. The deposition system of claim 1 , wherein the controller regulates the flow of the material and the orientation of the nozzle to dynamically modulate the fiber orientation such that smaller fibers align inside the print head. 5. The deposition system of claim 1 , the controller further to control the print head such that deposited fiber orientation varies throughout the deposited material.
