A toilet includes a bowl, a trapway, and a passage. The trapway is fluidly connected to the bowl at a trapway inlet and extends downstream from the bowl. The trapway includes an up-leg and a down-leg extending downstream from the up-leg. The passage is fluidly connected to the trapway downstream from the trapway inlet. The passage is configured to allow ambient air from outside the toilet to pass therethrough toward the trapway.

What is claimed is: 1. A toilet, comprising: a bowl; a trapway fluidly connected to the bowl at a trapway inlet and extending downstream from the bowl, the trapway comprising an up-leg and a down-leg extending downstream from the up-leg; and a passage fluidly connected to the trapway downstream from the trapway inlet, the passage configured to allow ambient air from outside the toilet to pass therethrough toward the trapway, wherein an inlet of the passage is disposed in the bowl at a height above an upper edge of the trapway inlet. 2. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein the passage is configured to allow ambient air from outside the toilet to pass therethrough in only a single direction toward the trapway. 3. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein the ambient air is introduced to the trapway through the passage as a result of a pressure differential between the trapway and an environment surrounding the toilet. 4. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein a pressure differential between the trapway and an environment surrounding the toilet causes a siphon to form in the passage. 5. The toilet of claim 4 , wherein the siphon in the passage causes water to evacuate through the passage toward the trapway, and wherein the introduction of ambient air to the passage first breaks the siphon in the passage and then subsequently reduces the pressure differential between the trapway and the environment surrounding the toilet. 6. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein the passage further comprises a passage up-leg and a passage down-leg extending downstream from the passage up-leg, and wherein a lower surface of the passage where the passage up-leg meets the passage down-leg is at a height that is above an uppermost point along an upper surface of the trapway. 7. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein the toilet further comprises an inlet channel fluidly connecting an inlet of the toilet to the bowl, and wherein an inlet of the passage is disposed in the inlet channel. 8. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein the toilet further comprises a rim formed at an upper end of the bowl, and wherein an inlet of the passage is disposed in the rim. 9. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein the passage extends at least partially upwardly from an upper surface of the toilet proximate to an inlet of the toilet. 10. The toilet of claim 1 , wherein an inlet of the passage is fluidly connected to a first end of the trapway and an outlet of the passage is fluidly connected to a second end of the trapway that is downstream from the first end. 11. A toilet, comprising: a pedestal, comprising: a bowl; a sump formed at a lower end of the bowl; and a trapway fluidly connected to the sump at a trapway inlet and extending downstream from the sump; and a passage fluidly connected to the trapway downstream from the trapway inlet, the passage configured to allow ambient air to pass therethrough toward the trapway as a result of a pressure differential between the trapway and an environment surrounding the toilet, wherein an inlet of the passage is disposed in the bowl at a height above an upper edge of the trapway inlet. 12. The toilet of claim 11 , wherein the passage is configured to allow ambient air from the environment surrounding the toilet to pass therethrough in only a single direction toward the trapway. 13. The toilet of claim 11 , wherein the pressure differential between the trapway and the environment surrounding the toilet causes a siphon in the passage that causes water to evacuate through the passage toward the trapway, and wherein the introduction of ambient air to the passage first breaks the siphon in the passage and then subsequently reduces the pressure differential between the trapway and the environment surrounding the toilet. 14. The toilet of claim 11 , wherein the pedestal further comprises an inlet channel fluidly connecting an inlet of the pedestal to at least one of the bowl or the sump, and wherein an inlet of the passage is disposed in the inlet channel. 15. The toilet of claim 11 , wherein the pedestal further comprises a rim formed at an upper end of the bowl opposite the lower end, and wherein an inlet of the passage is disposed in the rim. 16. The toilet of claim 11 , further comprising a tank upstream from an inlet to the pedestal, wherein an inlet of the passage is disposed in the tank. 17. The toilet of claim 11 , further comprising a valve coupled to the passage and fluidly connecting an inlet of the passage to the trapway. 18. The toilet of claim 11 , wherein an inlet of the passage is fluidly connected to an upstream end of the trapway and an outlet of the passage is fluidly connected to a downstream end of the trapway.
