The present invention relates to novel sulfur derivatives, processes for preparing them, pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use as pharmaceuticals as modulators of chemokine receptors.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of modulating chemokine receptors, which comprises administering to a mammal in need thereof, a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of at least one compound of Formula I wherein: R 1 is H or R 2 is substituted or unsubstituted C 1-6 alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted C 3-8 cycloalkyl; R 5 is —S—, —S(O)—, or —S(O) 2 —; R 6 is selected from the group consisting of: R 17 is H; R 18 is H; R 7 is H, halogen, —OC 1-6 alkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted C 1-6 alkyl; and R 8 is H, halogen, or CN; with the proviso that R 7 , R 8 , R 17 and R 18 cannot be H in same time. 2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein: R 5 is —S—. 3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein: R 5 is —S(O)—. 4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein: R 5 is —S(O) 2 —. 5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the compound is selected from the group consisting of: 3,4-dichloro-N-[5-chloro-2-(methylthio)phenyl]benzenesulfonamide; 3,4-dichloro-N-[5-chloro-2-(methylsulfinyl)phenyl]benzenesulfonamide; 4-chloro-N-[5-chloro-2-(methylsulfinyl)phenyl]-3-methylbenzenesulfonamide; N-[5-chloro-2-(methylsulfinyl)phenyl]-3-nitro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonamide; 4-chloro-N-[5-chloro-2-(methylthio)phenyl]-2-fluorobenzenesulfonamide; 4-chloro-N-{5-chloro-2-[(1H-imidazol-4-ylmethyl)sulfonyl]phenyl}-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonamide; 4-chloro-N-[5-chloro-2-(methylsulfinyl)phenyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonamide; 4-chloro-N-[5-chloro-2-(ethylthio)phenyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonamide;
