A method of manufacturing a display apparatus is provided as follows. A substrate having a display portion on an upper surface of the substrate is prepared. A protection film having an opening is attached to a lower surface of the substrate so that the protection film overlaps the display portion. A support film is attached to the lower surface so that the support film is disposed within the opening of the protection film. A driving circuit chip is attached to the upper surface so that the driving chip is spaced apart from the display portion and the opening. At least a part of the support film is removed. The substrate is bent along a longitudinal direction of the opening.

What is claimed is: 1. A display apparatus comprising: a substrate having a first area, a second area and a bending area between the first area and the second area, wherein the bending area is bent to have a curved lower surface; a display portion disposed on an upper surface of the first area of the substrate; a protection film disposed on a lower surface of the first area of the substrate and comprising a protection film base and a first adhesive layer; and a second adhesive layer disposed on the curved lower surface of the bending area of the substrate, wherein a hardness of the second adhesive layer is higher than a hardness of the first adhesive layer and wherein the protection film has an opening exposing the curved lower surface of the bending area of the substrate. 2. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the second adhesive layer is smaller than a thickness of the first adhesive layer. 3. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein an area of the second adhesive layer is greater than an area of the bending area. 4. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein an area of the opening is greater than an area of the bending area. 5. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising: a filler filling at least partially the opening. 6. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the curved lower surface of the substrate has a curvature to the extent that the first area and the second area face each other. 7. The display apparatus of claim 6 , further comprising: a cushion layer disposed between the first area and the second area, wherein the cushion layer is in contact with the protection film base. 8. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising: an inorganic insulating layer disposed on the upper surface of the first area of the substrate; a first conductive layer disposed on the inorganic insulating layer and extending from the first area through the bending area to the second area; and an organic material layer disposed on the bending area and interposed between the inorganic insulating layer and the first conductive layer. 9. The display apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the inorganic insulating layer has a groove or an opening, and wherein the organic material layer fills the groove or the opening. 10. The display apparatus of claim 8 , wherein at least a part of an upper surface of the organic material layer has a corrugated surface. 11. A display apparatus comprising: a substrate having a first area, a second area and a bending area between the first area and the second area, wherein the bending area is bent to have a curved lower surface; a display portion disposed on an upper surface of the first area of the substrate; a protection film disposed on a lower surface of the first area of the substrate and comprising a protection film base and a first adhesive layer; and a second adhesive layer disposed on the curved lower surface of the bending area of the substrate, wherein the protection film has an opening exposing the second adhesive layer disposed on the curved lower surface of the bending area of the substrate, wherein the second adhesive layer is in a same layer as the first adhesive layer and spaced apart from the first adhesive layer, wherein a thickness of the second adhesive layer is smaller than a thickness of the first adhesive layer. 12. The display apparatus of claim 11 , wherein an area of the second adhesive layer is greater than an area of the bending area. 13. The display apparatus of claim 11 , wherein a hardness of the second adhesive layer is higher than a hardness of the first adhesive layer. 14. The display apparatus of claim 11 , further comprising: a filler filling at least partially the opening. 15. A display apparatus comprising: a substrate having a first area, a second area and a bending area between the first area and the second area, wherein the bending area is bent to have a curved lower surface; a display portion disposed on an upper surface of the first area of the substrate; an inorganic insulating layer disposed on the upper surface of the first area of the substrate; a first conductive layer disposed on the inorganic insulating layer and extending from the first area through the bending area to the second area; an organic material layer disposed on the bending area and interposed between the inorganic insulating layer and the first conductive layer; a protection film disposed on a lower surface of the first area of the substrate and comprising a protection film base and a first adhesive layer; and a second adhesive layer disposed on the curved lower surface of the bending area of the substrate, wherein the protection film has an opening exposing the second adhesive layer disposed on the curved lower surface of the bending area of the substrate, wherein the second adhesive layer is in a same layer as the first adhesive layer and spaced apart from the first adhesive layer, wherein a hardness of the second adhesive layer is higher than a hardness of the first adhesive layer. 16. The display apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the inorganic insulating layer has a groove or an opening, and wherein the organic material layer fills the groove or the opening. 17. The display apparatus of claim 15 , wherein at least a part of an upper surface of the organic material layer has an uneven surface. 18. The display apparatus of claim 15 , wherein a thickness of the second adhesive layer is smaller than a thickness of the first adhesive layer.
