This invention provides a composition comprising a refrigerant, the composition being non-flammable like R404A (R125/R134a/R143a=44/4/52 wt %), and having a refrigerating capacity that can replace that of R404A, a COP that is equal or superior to that of R404A, and a GWP of 1500 or less. Specifically, the invention provides a composition comprising a refrigerant, the refrigerant comprising a mixture of fluorinated hydrocarbons, the mixture comprising difluoromethane (R32), pentafluoroethane (R125), and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R134a) at specific concentrations, the fluorinated hydrocarbons contained in the mixture having a specific composition ratio. This composition is for use as an alternative refrigerant for R22 or an alternative refrigerant for R404A.

The invention claimed is: 1. A composition comprising a refrigerant, wherein the refrigerant comprises a mixture of fluorinated hydrocarbons, the mixture comprises difluoromethane (R32), pentafluoroethane (R125), and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R134a) in amounts such that the sum of the concentrations thereof is 99.5 wt % or more, the composition ratio of the fluorinated hydrocarbons contained in the mixture fall within a quadrilateral having, as vertices, the following four points in a ternary composition diagram in which the sum of the concentrations of R32, R125, and R134a is 100 wt %: point G′ (R32/R125/R134a=25.2/11.4/63.4 wt %), point T (R32/R125/R134a=24.9/9.3/65.8 wt %), point R (R32/R125/R134a=19.5/4.3/76.2 wt %), and point I′ (R32/R125/R134a=17.9/8.7/73.4 wt %), the composition is an alternative refrigerant for R22 or R404A, the mixture further comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of HCFC-1122, HCFC-124, CFC-1113, and chloromethane, and the content of the at least one compound in the mixture is less than 0.5 wt %. 2. The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the mixture further comprises water. 3. The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises at least one substance selected from the group consisting of tracers, compatibilizing agents, ultraviolet fluorescent dyes, stabilizers, and polymerization inhibitors. 4. The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises a refrigerant oil and is for use as a working fluid for refrigerating machines. 5. The composition according to claim 4 , wherein the refrigerant oil contains at least one member selected from the group consisting of polyalkylene glycol (PAG), polyol ester (POE), and polyvinyl ether (PVE). 6. The composition according to claim 1 , which is used for at least one member selected from the group consisting of refrigerators, freezers, water coolers, ice makers, refrigerated showcases, freezing showcases, freezing and refrigerating units, refrigerating machines for freezing and refrigerating warehouses, chillers (chilling units), turbo refrigerating machines, and screw refrigerating machines. 7. A refrigeration method comprising operating a refrigeration cycle using the composition of claim 1 . 8. A method of operating a refrigerating machine, the method comprising operating a refrigeration cycle using the composition of claim 1 . 9. A refrigerating machine comprising the composition of claim 1 .
