What we claim is: 1. A method for geofencing with SMS messaging, said method comprising: providing, by an entity, a set of geofenced areas to a phone carrier, the set of geofenced areas comprising: at least a first geofenced area and a second geofenced area; providing, by said entity, compensation to said phone carrier for pinging a mobile device of a customer according to a predetermined schedule; based on said pinging, receiving at said entity and from said phone carrier, a first alert when it is detected that said mobile device of said customer is within said first geofenced area during said pinging; and sending, to said mobile device of said customer, a first message that is tailored for said customer, wherein said first message is relevant to a first location and a first time period at which said mobile device of said customer is within said first geofenced area. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: sending to said mobile device of said customer a second message that is tailored for said customer, wherein said second message is relevant to a second location and a second time period at which said mobile device of said customer is within at least one of said first geofenced area and said second geofenced area. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein said first geofenced area is said second geofenced area, and wherein said first location is said second location, and said first time period is different from said second time period. 4. The method of claim 2 , wherein said first geofenced area is said second geofenced area, and wherein said first location is different from said second location. 5. The method of claim 2 , wherein said first geofenced area is different from said second geofenced area.
