Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An approach is provided in which a lens system receives a set of location data corresponding to a location of a user wearing the lens system. Next, the lens system matches the set of location data to a location context entry stored in a storage area and, in turn, adjusts an appearance of the lens system based on a set of lens configuration attributes corresponding to the matched location context entry.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method implemented by an information handling system that includes a memory and a processor, the method comprising: receiving, by an eyewear system, a set of location data corresponding to a location of a user wearing the eyewear system, wherein the set of location data comprises a first set of location context data and a second set of location context data; matching the first set of location context data to a first one of a plurality of location context entries stored in a storage area, wherein the first location context entry comprises a first set of eyewear configuration attributes and a first priority level; matching the second set of location context data to a second one of the plurality of location context entries stored in the storage area, wherein the second location context entry comprises a second set of eyewear configuration attributes and a second priority level; determining that the first priority level is higher than the second priority level; and adjusting an appearance of the eyewear system based on the first set of eyewear configuration attributes in response to the determining. 2. The method of claim 1 wherein: the set of location data is received over a wireless network from a remote system; the first set of location context data is a set of location-based context data; and the second set of location context data is a set of weather-based context data. 3. The method of claim 1 further comprising: receiving a third set of location context data corresponding to a future location of the user; matching the third set of location context data to a third one of the plurality of location context entries, wherein the third location context entry comprises a third set of eyewear configuration attributes; and re-adjusting the appearance of the eyewear system, at a predetermined distance away from the future location, based on the third set of eyewear configuration attributes. 4. The method of claim 3 further comprising: retrieving a calendar entry from an electronic calendar corresponding to the user; and determining the future location of the user based on the retrieved calendar entry. 5. The method of claim 3 further comprising: retrieving environmental data corresponding to the future location of the user; and selecting the third location context entry based on the environmental data. 6. The method of claim 3 wherein the future location is selected from the group consisting of a tunnel and an underground parking garage. 7. The method of claim 1 further comprising: determining that the first set of location context data corresponds to a type of building; matching a third one of the plurality of location context entries to the type of building, wherein the third location context entry comprises a third set of eyewear configuration attributes; and adjusting the appearance of the eyewear system based on the third set of eyewear configuration attributes. 8. The method of claim 1 further comprising: downloading a set of trending color attributes corresponding to the location of the user; and adjusting the appearance of the eyewear system based on the downloaded set of trending color attributes. 9. The method of claim 1 further comprising one or more network situated information resources and one or more computing devices that collect information corresponding to the location of the user and instruct the eyewear system to adjust a color and an opacity of the eyewear system. 10. The method of claim 9 further comprising: receiving, at the eyewear system, a third set of eyewear configuration attributes from at least one of the one or more information resources; and adjusting a different appearance of the eyewear system based on the third set of eyewear configuration attributes. 11. An information handling system comprising: one or more processors; a memory coupled to at least one of the processors; a set of computer program instructions stored in the memory and executed by at least one of the processors in order to perform actions of: receiving, by an eyewear system, a set of location data corresponding to a location of a user wearing the eyewear system, wherein the set of location data comprises a first set of location context data and a second set of location context data; matching the first set of location context data to a first one of a plurality of location context entries stored in a storage area, wherein the first location context entry comprises a first set of eyewear configuration attributes and a first priority level; matching the second set of location context data to a second one of the plurality of location context entries stored in the storage area, wherein the second location context entry comprises a second set of eyewear configuration attributes and a second priority level; determining that the first priority level is higher than the second priority level; and adjusting an appearance of the eyewear system based on the first set of eyewear configuration attributes in response to the determining. 12. The information handling system of claim 11 wherein: the set of location data is received over a wireless network from a remote system; the first set of location context data is a set of location-based context data; and the second set of location context data is a set of weather-based context data. 13. The information handling system of claim 11 wherein the processors perform additional actions comprising: receiving a third set of location context data corresponding to a future location of the user; matching the third set of location context data to a third one of the plurality of location context entries, wherein the third location context entry comprises a third set of eyewear configuration attributes; and re-adjusting the appearance of the eyewear system, at a predetermined distance away from the future location, based on the third set of eyewear configuration attributes. 14. The information handling system of claim 13 wherein the processors perform additional actions comprising: retrieving a calendar entry from an electronic calendar corresponding to the user; and determining the future location of the user based on the retrieved calendar entry. 15. The information handling system of claim 13 wherein the processors perform additional actions comprising: retrieving environmental data corresponding to the future location of the user; and selecting the diffcrcnt third location context entry based on the environmental data. 16. The information handling system of claim 11 wherein the processors perform additional actions comprising: determining that the first set of location context data corresponds to a type of building; matching a third one of the plurality of location context entries to the type of building, wherein the third location context entry comprises a third set of eyewear configuration attributes; and adjusting the appearance of the eyewear system based on the third set of eyewear configuration attributes. 17. The information handling system of claim 11 wherein the processors perform additional actions comprising: downloading a set of trending color attributes corresponding to the location of the user; and adjusting the appearance of the eyewear system based on the downloaded set of trending color attributes. 18. A computer program product stored in a computer readable storage medium, comprising computer program code that, when executed by an information handling system, causes the information handling system to p
