Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An object of the present invention is to provide a multicomponent copolymer for use for producing a crosslinked rubber composition and a rubber product excellent in fracture performance (strength and elongation) at high temperatures while maintaining high weather resistance. Further, the invention provides a rubber composition containing the multicomponent copolymer, a crosslinked rubber composition obtained by crosslinking the rubber composition, and a rubber product and a tire using the rubber composition or the crosslinked rubber composition. The multicomponent copolymer of the invention contains a conjugated diene unit, a non-conjugated olefin unit and an aromatic vinyl unit, wherein the main chain is formed of an acyclic structure alone, the content of the aromatic vinyl unit is 3 mol % or more of the whole multicomponent copolymer, and the content of the non-conjugated olefin unit is more than 44 mol % and less than 97 mol % of the whole multicomponent copolymer.

The invention claimed is: 1. A multicomponent copolymer comprising a conjugated diene unit, a non-conjugated olefin unit and an aromatic vinyl unit, wherein: the main chain is formed of an acyclic structure alone, the content of the aromatic vinyl unit is 3 mol % or more of the whole multicomponent copolymer the content of the non-conjugated olefin unit is more than 44 mol % and less than 97 mol % of the whole multicomponent copolymer, and a polystyrene-equivalent weight-average molecular weight of the multicomponent copolymer is 100,000 to 9,000,000. 2. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , wherein the content of the aromatic vinyl unit is 30 mol % or less of the whole multicomponent copolymer. 3. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , wherein the content of the conjugated diene unit is 1 mol % or more of the whole multicomponent copolymer. 4. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , wherein the content of the conjugated diene unit is 40 mol % or less of the whole multicomponent copolymer. 5. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , wherein the non-conjugated olefin unit is an ethylene unit alone. 6. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , wherein the aromatic vinyl unit contains a styrene unit. 7. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , wherein the conjugated diene unit contains at least one selected from the group consisting of a 1,3-butadiene unit and an isoprene unit. 8. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , which is a polymer composed of only a 1,3-butadiene unit, an ethylene unit and a styrene unit. 9. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 1 , wherein the cis-1,4-bond content in the conjugated diene unit is 50% or more. 10. A rubber composition comprising the multicomponent copolymer of claim 1 . 11. A crosslinked rubber composition produced by crosslinking the rubber composition of claim 10 . 12. A rubber product using the rubber composition of claim 10 . 13. A tire using the rubber composition of claim 10 . 14. A rubber product using the crosslinked rubber composition of claim 11 . 15. A tire using the crosslinked rubber composition of claim 11 . 16. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 2 , wherein the content of the conjugated diene unit is 1 mol % or more of the whole multicomponent copolymer. 17. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 2 , wherein the content of the conjugated diene unit is 40 mol % or less of the whole multicomponent copolymer. 18. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 2 , wherein the non-conjugated olefin unit is an ethylene unit alone. 19. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 2 , wherein the aromatic vinyl unit contains a styrene unit. 20. The multicomponent copolymer according to claim 2 , wherein the conjugated diene unit contains at least one selected from the group consisting of a 1,3-butadiene unit and an isoprene unit.
