The invention claimed is: 1. An electronic apparatus, comprising: a first cover having a first face portion that covers a plurality of parts built in the electronic apparatus, and a first peripheral face portion which provides a first portion of an outer peripheral face of the electronic apparatus; a second cover having a second face portion that covers the plurality of parts, and a second peripheral face portion which provides a second portion of the outer peripheral face of the electronic apparatus; a channel defined by a separation between the first cover and the second cover, where the first and second face portions are opposite to one another, a first peripheral edge of the first cover and a second peripheral edge of the second cover oppose one another and do not meet, thereby defining the separation between the first cover and the second cover; and a plurality of air vent holes located through at least one wall surface within the channel. 2. The electronic apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising an insertion slot for an optical disk located within the channel. 3. The electronic apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the electronic apparatus includes an outer face that is formed from the first face portion and the second face portion; the outer peripheral face surrounds the electronic apparatus when the electronic apparatus is viewed in a first direction which is a direction in which the first face portion and the second face portion oppose one another; and each of the first portion and the second portion of the outer peripheral face include a respective portion located in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction, and that is fixed a common wall. 4. The electronic apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein: a direction in which the first face portion and the second face portion oppose one another defines a first axis; and the separation between the first cover and the second cover defining the channel extends around a plurality of sides of the outer peripheral face of the electronic apparatus, and around the first axis. 5. The electronic apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the electronic apparatus is in the form of a parallelepiped and the channel extends circumferentially around the first axis along each of first, second, third, and fourth portions of the outer peripheral face of the electronic apparatus. 6. The electronic apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a frame having a peripheral wall portion formed along the outer peripheral face of the electronic apparatus, surrounding the plurality of parts, and having the plurality of parts attached thereto. 7. The electronic apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein a portion of the frame has formed therethrough at least one of an aperture for exposing a connector. 8. The electronic apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein: a direction in which the first face and the second face oppose one another defines a first axis; the separation between the first cover and the second cover defining the channel extends around a plurality of sides of the outer peripheral face of the electronic apparatus, and around the first axis; the portion of the frame is oriented such that a normal axis thereto intersects the first axis perpendicularly; the channel includes a first lateral surface adjacent to the first peripheral edge of the first cover, and extending substantially perpendicularly with respect to the portion of the frame; the channel includes a second lateral surface adjacent to the second peripheral edge of the second cover, and extending substantially perpendicularly with respect to the portion of the frame; and the first and second lateral surfaces face one another. 9. The electronic apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein at least one of the first and second lateral surfaces include apertures therethrough for air flow.
