Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A vehicle is provided that determines a first triggering event in predetermined triggering event information has occurred, in response to a first event, automatically forwards a first communication to a selected third party vendor to preorder a product or service of the selected third party vendor in connection with a transaction with the user, determines a second triggering event in the triggering event information has occurred, and in response to the later second event, automatically sends an authorization to complete the transaction by providing financial information to the selected third party vendor.

What is claimed is: 1. A vehicle, comprising: a memory to store triggering event information applicable to communications associated with a user in the vehicle; a processor in communication with the memory, the processor being programmed to: determine, at a first time, that a first triggering event in the triggering event information has occurred; establish, automatically in response to determining that the first triggering event has occurred, a first communication connection with a selected third party vendor of a plurality of third party vendors; separate a token comprising an entirety of transaction information required for the selected third party vendor to conduct a transaction activity with the user into a first half of the token and a second half of the token, the first half of the token comprising a preorder defining a product or service to authorize and a first portion of payment information for the transaction activity, the second half of the token comprising a second portion of the payment information required to complete the payment information and allow the selected third party vendor to complete the transaction activity; send, via the first communication connection, a preorder communication comprising the first half of the token to the selected third party vendor to preorder the product or service of the selected third party vendor in connection with the transaction activity, wherein the first half of the token is sent without the second half of the token in the preorder communication; determine, at a later second time, that a second triggering event in the triggering event information has occurred; establish, automatically in response to determining that the second triggering event has occurred, a second communication connection with the selected third party vendor; receive, from the selected third party vendor via the second communication connection, an identity and order confirmation request to verify an identity of at least one of the vehicle and the user; send, via the second communication connection, an acknowledgement signal to the selected third party vendor that verifies that the identity of the at least one of the vehicle and the user; receive, via the second communication connection, a confirmation signal from the selected third party vendor that the transaction activity is confirmed by the selected third party vendor; and send, via the second communication connection after the confirmation signal is received, an authorization communication comprising the second half of the token that completes the token and the transaction activity by providing the second portion of the payment information to the selected third party vendor. 2. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the first triggering event is the vehicle following a predetermined vehicle route, wherein the second triggering event is the vehicle being in a predetermined spatial location, and wherein the preorder communication and the authorization communication are sent to the selected third party vendor by different communication protocols. 3. The vehicle of claim 2 , wherein the first triggering event causes a change to a user interface in the vehicle, wherein a first of the different communication protocols is one or more of a near field communications (NFC), BLUETOOTH™ Low Energy (BLE), and radio frequency identification (RFID) protocol and a second of the different communication protocols is a cellular network communication protocol, wherein the preorder communication comprises user information, wherein the acknowledgement signal comprises vehicle information, wherein the vehicle information comprises a vehicle identification number of the vehicle, an electronic serial number associated with the vehicle, and/or an engine code of the vehicle, wherein the preorder communication enables the selected third party vendor to authenticate the user, wherein the user information comprises biometric information of the user, the biometric information being received by a sensor associated with the vehicle, wherein the biometric information comprises one or more of facial structure, facial recognition information, voiceprint, voice recognition information, eye color, DNA information, and fingerprint information, wherein the selected third party vendor authenticates the user to enable the transaction activity between the selected third party vendor and the user using the user information while the vehicle is in motion, and wherein the processor is programmed to initiate automatically, on behalf of the user and subject to the one or more limits, the transaction activity with the selected third party vendor in response to a sensed state or location at least one of a state of the vehicle and the predetermined spatial location of the vehicle. 4. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the processor is programmed to: retrieve a user rule from the memory, wherein the user rule defines to which of the plurality of third party vendors the vehicle can send the preorder communication to preorder the product or service and wherein the user rule defines one or more of a geographic location of each of the plurality of third party vendors relative to a current location of the vehicle, a monetary amount the vehicle can pay for the product or service, and a time limit for provision of the product or service; based on the user rule, select from among the plurality of third party vendors, wherein each of the plurality of third party vendors is capable of providing the product or service; and when determined by the user rule, automatically send the preorder communication to the selected third party vendor. 5. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the memory stores one or more limits on third party vendor communications associated with the user in the vehicle, wherein the one or more limits restrict financial transactions of the user with third party vendors, the one or more limits comprising one or more of a financial transaction amount limit and a limit on a number of financial transactions, and wherein the processor, based on the one or more limits, determines whether the vehicle can send the preorder communication to one of the plurality of third party vendors; when allowed by the one or more limits, automatically sends the preorder communication to the selected third party vendor for the user; and when not allowed by the one or more limits, does not send the preorder communication to the selected third party vendor for the user. 6. The vehicle of claim 5 , wherein the first triggering event is a malfunction of the vehicle, wherein the preorder communication purchases a tow service or a part to address the malfunction, and wherein the selected third party vendor also has a vendor rule to govern an interaction with the vehicle. 7. The vehicle of claim 5 , wherein the one or more limits is set on the user by a second user and further comprising a deployable antenna that one or more of physically contacts a receiving pad of the selected third party vendor as the vehicle is in proximity to the selected third party vendor and communicates with a receiver of the selected third party vendor by a near field communication protocol to provide the second portion of the payment information to the selected third party vendor. 8. The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the first triggering event is a weather related event, wherein the preorder communication purchases weather information to be overlaid on the user interface a user interface in the vehicle, wherein the preorder communication and the authorization communication are sent to the selected third party vendor by different communication protocols, and wherein a first of the different communication protocols is one or more of a near field communications (NFC), BLUETOOTH™ Low Energy (BLE)
