Systems and methods for manufacturing and inserting a pre-determined number of material-filled pouches into containers are disclosed. A system includes a pouch providing system comprising a plurality of lanes, wherein each one of the plurality of lanes includes a pouch making machine and a hold-back structure. The system also includes a conveyor system structured and arranged to move a plurality of containers into alignment with the plurality of lanes. The system further includes a controller structured and arranged to control the hold-back structure in each one of the plurality of lanes such that the pre-determined pouches are inserted into the plurality of containers when the plurality of containers are aligned with the plurality of lanes.

What is claimed: 1. A conveyor system for transporting and aligning a plurality of containers with a plurality of lanes in a product dispensing system, the conveyor system comprising: a carousel; a plurality of funnel cups attached to the carousel; an inclined ramp configured to guide each of the plurality of containers into alignment with a respective one of the plurality of funnel cups; a plurality of carrier forks, each of the plurality of carrier forks integrated with a respective one of the plurality of funnel cups and configured to engage and carry a respective one of the plurality of containers as the respective one of the plurality of containers progresses up the inclined ramp; and a controller configured to control movement of the plurality of funnel cups into alignment with the plurality of lanes and control distribution of product from the product dispensing system. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of funnel cups and respective engaged ones of the plurality of containers move simultaneously. 3. The system of claim 1 , further comprising: a declined ramp positioned downstream of the product dispensing system and configured to guide each of the plurality of containers out of alignment with the respective one of the plurality of funnel cups. 4. The system of claim 3 , further comprising: a conveyor configured to receive each of the plurality of containers from respective ones of the plurality of carrier forks after each of the plurality of containers is disengaged from the respective one of the plurality of funnel cups. 5. The system of claim 4 , further comprising: a downstream station configured to receive and further process the plurality of containers engaged with the conveyor. 6. The system of claim 1 , further comprising: a weigh station downstream of the product dispensing system and configured to detect a weight of a product-filled container. 7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the controller is configured to adjust an output of the product dispensing system in a respective one of the lanes based on the weight of the product-filled container from the weigh station. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the product is a pouch. 9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the pouch includes smokeless tobacco contained within a paper case. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of containers includes a cylindrical container configured to be sealed with a lid. 11. The system of claim 1 , further comprising: a tamping zone downstream of the product dispensing system, wherein the product is a pouch, and the tamping zone includes a plurality of tampers configured to tamp a plurality of pouches inside each of the plurality of containers. 12. The system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to simultaneously move the plurality of containers away from the plurality of lanes and move a second plurality of containers into alignment with the plurality of lanes. 13. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of funnel cups are attached to the carousel such that a position of a respective one of the plurality of funnel cups is fixed relative to a position of a respective one of the plurality of containers. 14. The system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to control movement of the plurality of containers by repeatedly moving and stopping the carousel. 15. The system of claim 1 , wherein the respective one of the plurality of funnel cups is fixed to the carousel and does not pivot to engage the respective one of the plurality of containers. 16. A method for transporting and aligning a plurality of containers with a plurality of lanes in a conveyor system, the method comprising: guiding the plurality of containers into alignment with a plurality of funnel cups on an inclined ramp; engaging and carrying a respective one of the plurality of containers with a respective one of a plurality of carrier forks as the respective one of the plurality of containers progresses up the inclined ramp; simultaneously moving the plurality of containers into alignment with a plurality of lanes in a product dispensing system; and distributing a quantity of product directly from respective ones of the plurality of lanes into respective ones of the plurality of containers. 17. The method of claim 16 , further comprising: individually weighing each of the plurality of containers at a weigh station after the distributing the quantity of product. 18. The method of claim 17 , further comprising: controlling, using a controller, a rate of product supplied to a respective one of the plurality of lanes based on the weighing. 19. The method of claim 17 , further comprising: moving the plurality of containers out of alignment with the plurality of lanes and into alignment with a plurality of tamping devices; and tamping a plurality of pouches in each of the plurality of containers. 20. The method of claim 19 , further comprising: disengaging the plurality of containers from the conveyor system after the tamping and prior to the weighing. 21. The method of claim 16 , further comprising: guiding the plurality of containers out of alignment with the plurality of funnel cups on a declined ramp after distributing the quantity of product.
