Official abstract text for this publication.
A display device includes first and second substrates each including a short side and a long side, ground parts located on at least one of the short and long sides of each of the first and second substrates and including at least one first ground surfaces, which are perpendicular to opposing surfaces of the first and second substrates, and at least one second ground surfaces, which are provided at at least one edge of the second substrate to define an obtuse angle with reference to the first ground surfaces, and unevenness disposed on the first ground surfaces along a first direction, where the unevenness defines an acute angle with reference to a normal line to the opposing surfaces.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of fabricating a display device, comprising: preparing a panel including first and second substrates which face each other to define opposing surfaces, each of the first and second substrates including a first side surface and a second side surface; arranging the panel to be in contact with a grinder including a grinding part, which includes a grinding surface, and a shaft, which is connected to the grinding surface and extends along a rotation axis of the grinding part; and grinding the panel by placing the first or second side surface in contact with the grinding surface, wherein the grinding the panel comprises grinding the first or second side surface while allowing the rotation axis to be perpendicular to a normal line to the opposing surfaces, and thereby providing unevenness on the first or second side surface to define a first angle with reference to the normal line to the opposing surfaces, wherein the grinding the panel further comprises providing a first ground surface at a top of the first or second side surface of the panel to have a first ground width and providing a second ground surface at a bottom of the first or second side surface of the panel to have a second ground width, and wherein each of the first and second substrates further includes a third side surface opposite to the first side surface, the first side surface includes both the first ground surface and the second ground surface, and the third side surface includes only the first ground surface. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first angle is about 30 degrees to about 80 degrees. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the unevenness has a center line average roughness Ra of about 300 nanometers or less. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first side surface includes a long side, wherein the second side surface includes a short side, and wherein at least one of the short side and the long side is at least partially curved. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the grinding the panel further comprises allowing the rotation axis not to fall on the same plane as those of the opposing surfaces. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first ground width is greater than the second ground width. 7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the first ground width is about 400 micrometers to about 500 micrometers, and the second ground width is about 80 micrometers to about 150 micrometers.
