Systems and methods for electronically sharing information about health-related activities among users of portable performance monitoring systems are disclosed. The method may include determining first information corresponding to a health-related activity for a first individual using a first portable performance monitoring system; determining second information corresponding to a health-related activity for a second individual using a second portable performance monitoring system; wirelessly transmitting the first and second information from the first and second portable performance monitoring systems; receiving the first and second information using a computing device remotely located from the first or second individual during the activity; and generating a visual display based on the first and second information.

What is claimed is: 1. A computer-implemented method for electronically sharing information about health-related activities among users of portable performance monitoring systems, the method comprising: determining first information corresponding to a health-related activity for a first individual along a route using a first portable performance monitoring system that is carried with the first individual during the activity, the first portable performance monitoring system comprising a first microprocessor, a first display screen, a first user input, a first satellite positioning system receiver, and a first wireless communication transceiver; determining second information corresponding to a health-related activity for a second individual along the same route traversed by the first individual using a second portable performance monitoring system that is carried with the second individual during the activity, the second portable performance monitoring system comprising a second microprocessor, a second display screen, a second user input, a second satellite positioning system receiver, and a second wireless communication transceiver; wirelessly transmitting the first and second information from the first and second portable performance monitoring systems; receiving the first and second information using a computing device remotely located from the first or second individual during the activity; determining the first and second individual traversed the same route; and generating a visual display based on the first and second information, including information related to the traversal of the route by the first individual and the traversal of the route by the second individual. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first information comprises first performance information for the first individual. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the first performance information comprises one of distance, time, pace, elevation, and heart rate. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second information comprises second performance information for the second individual. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the second performance information comprises one of distance, time, pace, elevation, and heart rate. 6. A portable health coaching system, comprising: a first portable electronic device comprising: a first display screen; a first user input; a first satellite positioning system receiver; a first wireless communication transceiver; a first memory; and a first processor configured to: collect activity data from a first user during a traversal along a route the first user has previously traversed, and wirelessly transmit the activity data; and a second portable electronic device comprising: a second display screen; a second user input; a second satellite positioning system receiver; a second wireless communication transceiver; a second memory; and a second processor configured to: receive second login credentials related to a second user, authenticate the second user based on the second login credentials, receive the activity data, determine that the activity data corresponds to a traversal along a route that the second user has previously traversed, and display the activity data on the second display screen, including information related to the traversal of the route by the first user and the traversal of the route by the second user. 7. The system of claim 6 , further comprising: a third portable electronic device comprising: a third display screen; a third user input; a third satellite positioning system receiver; a third wireless communication transceiver; a third memory; and a third processor configured to: receive third login credentials related to a third user, authenticate the third user based on the third login credentials, receive the activity data, and display the activity data on the third display screen. 8. The system of claim 6 , wherein the activity data is performance information of the first user comprising one of distance, time, pace, elevation, and heart rate. 9. The system of claim 7 , wherein the second processor is configured to: collect second activity data from the second user on the second portable electronic device, and wirelessly transmit the second activity data; and wherein the third processor is configured to: receive the second activity data, and display the second activity data on the third display screen. 10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the first processor is configured to: receive the second activity data, and display the second activity data on the first display screen. 11. The system of claim 7 , wherein the first processor is further configured to: receive first electronic data from the first user related to the activity data, and wirelessly transmit the first electronic data; wherein the second processor is configured to display the first electronic data on the second display screen; and wherein the third processor is configured to display the first electronic data on the third display screen.
