An agricultural implement system that includes a depth adjustment system that couples to a row unit and adjusts a depth of an opener relative to a soil surface. The depth adjustment system includes a cam that rotates about an axis. A cam follower contacts the cam and adjusts a position of a packer wheel to adjust the depth of the opener.

The invention claimed is: 1. An agricultural implement system, comprising: an agricultural implement, comprising: a row unit; an opener coupled to the row unit, wherein the row unit is configured to form a trench in soil; a packer wheel, configured to pass over the trench and to pack the soil; a depth adjustment system coupled to the row unit and configured to adjust a depth of the opener relative to a surface of the soil, the depth adjustment system comprises: a cam configured to rotate about an axis; and a cam follower, wherein the cam follower is configured to contact the cam and adjust a position of the packer wheel with respect to the soil to adjust the depth of the opener. 2. The agricultural implement system of claim 1 , wherein the depth adjustment system comprises a worm configured to couple to and rotate a gear. 3. The agricultural implement system of claim 2 , wherein the cam couples to the gear and wherein rotation of the gear is configured to rotate the cam. 4. The agricultural implement system of claim 3 , wherein the worm comprises a shaft, wherein the shaft is configured to engage an actuator. 5. The agricultural implement system of claim 4 , wherein the shaft is supported by a mount system configured to couple to the row unit. 6. The agricultural implement system of claim 5 , wherein the mount system comprises a plate that defines a plurality of apertures, and wherein the plurality of apertures enable the plate to couple to the row unit in different orientations. 7. The agricultural implement system of claim 1 , comprising a packer arm, wherein the packer arm couples the packer wheel to the cam follower. 8. The agricultural implement system of claim 7 , wherein the packer arm couples to a bar of the row unit, and wherein the packer arm is configured to pivot about the bar as the cam contacts the cam follower. 9. The agricultural implement system of claim 1 , comprising an actuator configured to rotate the cam. 10. The agricultural implement system of claim 9 , wherein the actuator comprises at least one of an electric actuator, a hydraulic actuator, and a pneumatic actuator.
