A pad bearing includes a pad disposed on a radially outer side of a rotary shaft and supporting the rotary shaft so as to be rotatable around an axis, a block-shaped nozzle member disposed on an upstream side with respect to the pad on the radially outer side of the rotary shaft and including a discharge hole for discharging a lubricant toward an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft, and a compressed flow forming unit disposed in at least one of the pad and the nozzle member and configured to compress a flow of the lubricant flowing along the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft as the rotary shaft rotates.

What is claimed is: 1. A pad bearing comprising: a pad disposed on an outer side of a rotary shaft in a radial direction and supporting the rotary shaft so as to be rotatable around an axis; a block-shaped nozzle member disposed in a front in a rotation direction of the rotary shaft with respect to the pad on the radially outer side of the rotary shaft and including a discharge hole for discharging a lubricant toward an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft; and a compressed flow forming unit disposed in at least one of the pad and the nozzle member and configured to compress a flow of the lubricant flowing along the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft as the rotary shaft rotates, wherein the nozzle member includes: a first surface forming a first clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the first surface with the discharge hole being open to the first surface; and a second surface provided behind the first surface in the rotation direction of the rotary shaft and forming a second clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the second surface, the second clearance being smaller than the first clearance, and wherein an inclined surface is formed only between the first surface and the second surface such that a clearance between the inclined surface and the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft decreases from the front toward the rear in the rotation direction of the rotary shaft. 2. A pad bearing comprising: a pad disposed on an outer side of a rotary shaft in a radial direction and supporting the rotary shaft so as to be rotatable around an axis; and a block-shaped nozzle member disposed in a front in a rotation direction of the rotary shaft with respect to the pad on the radially outer side of the rotary shaft and including a discharge hole for discharging a lubricant toward an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft, wherein the nozzle member includes: a first surface forming a first clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the first surface with the discharge hole open to the first surface; and a second surface provided behind the first surface in the rotation direction of the rotary shaft and forming a second clearance smaller than the first clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the second surface, and wherein an inclined surface is formed only between the first surface and the second surface such that a clearance between the inclined surface and the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft decreases from the front toward the rear in the rotation direction of the rotary shaft. 3. A rotary machine comprising: a rotary shaft; and a pad bearing which is provided with: a pad disposed on an outer side of the rotary shaft in a radial direction and supporting the rotary shaft so as to be rotatable around an axis; a block-shaped nozzle member disposed in a front in a rotation direction of the rotary shaft with respect to the pad on the radially outer side of the rotary shaft and including a discharge hole for discharging a lubricant toward an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and a compressed flow forming unit disposed in at least one of the pad and the nozzle member and configured to compress a flow of the lubricant flowing along the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft as the rotary shaft rotates, wherein the nozzle member includes: a first surface forming a first clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the first surface with the discharge hole being open in the first surface; and a second surface provided behind the first surface in the rotation direction of the rotary shaft and forming a second clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the second surface, the second clearance being smaller than the first clearance, and wherein an inclined surface is formed only between the first surface and the second surface such that a clearance between the inclined surface and the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft decreases from the front toward the rear in the rotation direction of the rotary shaft.
