A reinforcing bar binding machine includes a magazine in which two wires are housed in a drawable manner; a curl guide unit that winds the juxtaposed wires around the reinforcing bars and a wire feeding unit that winds the wires around the reinforcing bars with the curl guide unit in an operation of juxtaposing and feeding the wires so that the wires are wound around the reinforcing bars. In addition, the binding machine includes a binding unit that twists crossing portions of one end side and the other end side of each of the wires wound around the reinforcing bars. The binding unit further includes a bending portion that bends the one end side and the other end side of each of the wires, which are wound around the reinforcing bars, toward the reinforcing bars.

The invention claimed is: 1. A binding machine comprising: a housing that is configured to houses a wire; a wire feeding unit that is configured to feed the wire housed in the housing; a curl guide that is configured to wind the wire from the wire feeding unit in a loop around a binding object; a binding unit that includes a gripping unit which grips the wire, and the binding unit is configured to twist the wire wound around the binding object to bind the binding object; and a bending assembly which includes a bending part and a first fulcrum part, wherein the first fulcrum part is also provided on the gripping unit, and wherein the bending assembly is configured to bend the wire such that end portions of the wire which binds the binding object are located closer to the binding object than a top portion of the wire which protrudes the most in a direction away from the binding object, wherein the gripping unit includes a first gripping member and a second gripping member, and one of the first gripping member or the second gripping member is movable in a direction toward the other of the first gripping member or the second gripping member, and wherein the first fulcrum part extends from the one of the first gripping member or the second gripping member. 2. The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the bending assembly bends the wire before the wire is twisted by the binding unit. 3. The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the bending assembly bends the wire in conjunction with an operation of twisting the wire. 4. The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the bending part is movable toward and away from the binding object, and the bending part is configured to move toward the binding object by a predetermined distance to bend the wire and move the end portions of the wire closer to the binding object by using the first fulcrum part as a fulcrum. 5. The binding machine according to claim 4 , wherein the bending part is arranged around the gripping unit, and is movable in an axial direction of the gripping unit. 6. The binding machine according to claim 5 , wherein the bending part is arranged to cover at least a part of the gripping unit. 7. The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the wire feeding unit is configured to feed two wires simultaneously in parallel; wherein the binding machine further comprises at least one wire restricting unit for guiding the two wires fed simultaneously by the wire feeding unit to restrict relative movement of the two wires in at least one direction orthogonal to a feed direction; and wherein the binding machine further comprises a cutting unit which cuts the wire after forming of the loop by the curl guide and prior to bending of the end portions by the bending assembly. 8. The binding machine according to claim 7 , wherein the bending assembly is configured so that after bending by the bending assembly, the top portion of the wire is a location at which a bend is present, and the end portions include free ends of the wire which are bent in a direction away from said top portion. 9. The binding machine according to claim 7 , wherein the at least one wire restricting unit positions the two wires such that an axis of one wire of the two wires is offset from an axis of a second wire of the two wires in a direction parallel to an axis of the loop formed by the curl guide; and wherein after bending and twisting of the wire by the bending assembly and the binding unit, the top portion of the wire is the vertically highest part of the wire, and the end portions are vertically lower than the top portion. 10. The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the first fulcrum part extends from the first gripping member and in a direction toward the second gripping member. 11. The binding machine according to claim 10 , wherein the gripping unit further includes a third gripping member, and wherein the third gripping member includes a second fulcrum part extending from the third gripping member, and wherein the second fulcrum part is also part of the bending assembly, such that one of the end portions of the wire is bent by the bending assembly about the first fulcrum part, and a second of the end portions of the wire is bent about the second fulcrum part. 12. The binding machine according to claim 11 , wherein the first and third gripping members are movable, and the second gripping member is a fixed gripping member; wherein the second fulcrum part extends from the third gripping member in a direction toward the second gripping member. 13. The binding machine according to claim 12 , wherein the first and third gripping members are movable in a direction toward the second gripping member. 14. The binding machine according to claim 11 , wherein the first and third gripping members are movable in a direction toward the second gripping member. 15. The binding machine according to claim 14 , wherein the bending assembly is configured to bend the wire such that, after bending, at least one of the end portions of the wire is positioned between the top portion of the wire and the binding object with respect to the direction in which the top portion protrudes away from the binding object. 16. The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein the bending assembly is configured to bend the wire such that, after bending, at least one of the end portions of the wire is positioned between the top portion of the wire and the binding object with respect to the direction in which the top portion protrudes away from the binding object. 17. A binding machine comprising: a housing that is configured to houses a wire; a wire feeding unit that is configured to feed the wire housed in the housing; a curl guide that is configured to wind the wire from the wire feeding unit in a loop around a binding object; a binding unit that is configured to grip and twist the wire wound around the binding object to bind the binding object; a bending unit that is configured to bend the wire such that end portions of the wire which binds the binding object are located closer to the binding object than a top portion of the wire which protrudes the most in a direction away from the binding object; wherein the binding unit includes a gripping unit which grips the wire, wherein the bending unit bends the wire such that the end portions of the wire gripped by the gripping unit are located closer to the binding object than the top portion of the wire, wherein the gripping unit includes first and second gripping members, and wherein: the first gripping member includes a protrusion which protrudes in a direction toward the second gripping member, on a surface facing the second gripping member; and the second gripping member includes a recess in which the protrusion of the first gripping member enters, on a surface facing the first gripping member. 18.
