Official abstract text for this publication.
The present disclosure generally relates to messaging user interfaces. The method includes displaying a messaging session between a user of the device and a respective participant in the message session other than the user of the device in a messaging user interface, wherein the respective participant is associated with a user account of the user. While the messaging session is active, the method also includes displaying, on the display, a first credential verification affordance in the messaging user interface. The method further includes detecting one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account. After detecting the one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account, in accordance with a determination that the authentication with the user account was successful, the method further includes providing an indication that the user was successfully authenticated with the user account to the respective participant via the messaging user interface.

What is claimed is: 1. A method at an electronic device that is in communication with a display device and one or more input devices, the method comprising: displaying, via the display device, a messaging user interface that corresponds to a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and a respective participant in the messaging session other than the user of the electronic device, wherein the respective participant is associated with a user account of the user, and wherein displaying the messaging user interface includes concurrently displaying, via the display device: a plurality of messages from one or more participants in the messaging session; and a message compose region for composing a new message; while displaying, via the display device, the messaging user interface, receiving a request from the respective participant for the user of the electronic device to authenticate with the user account that is associated with the respective participant; in response to receiving the request from the respective participant, updating the messaging user interface to concurrently display, via the display device: one or more messages from one or more of the participants in the messaging session; a first credential verification affordance in messaging user interface; and the message compose region for composing a new message; detecting, via the one or more input devices, one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account, wherein the one or more user inputs includes an input corresponding to selection of the first credential verification affordance in the messaging user interface; and after detecting the one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account, in accordance with a determination that an authentication with the user account was successful, providing an indication that the user was successfully authenticated with the user account to the respective participant. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: after providing the indication that the user was successfully authenticated with the user account to the respective participant, receiving privileged content from the respective participant; and after receiving the privileged content, displaying the privileged content in the messaging user interface. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising in accordance with the determination that the authentication with the user account was successful, displaying a verified credential indicator in the messaging user interface. 4. The method of claim 3 , wherein displaying the verified credential indicator comprises displaying the verified credential indicator in a background of the messaging user interface. 5. The method of claim 3 , further comprising: after the determination that the authentication with the user account was successful, maintaining display of the verified credential indicator in the messaging user interface for a period of time, during which, the authentication of the user account is accepted by an organization that is associated with the respective participant; and removing the verified credential indicator from being displayed in the messaging user interface after the period of time has elapsed. 6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising: after the period of time has elapsed, displaying a second credential verification affordance in the messaging user interface, wherein the second credential verification affordance is from the respective participant and is used to re-authenticate with the user account; detecting, via the one or more input devices, one or more user inputs to re-authenticate with the user account; and after detecting the one or more user inputs to re-authenticate with the user account, providing a second indication that the user has successfully re-authenticated with the user account to the respective participant via the messaging user interface. 7. The method of claim 5 , further comprising: during the period of time after the determination that the authentication with the user account was successful: displaying a second messaging session between the user and the respective participant in the messaging user interface; and automatically providing the indication that the user was successfully authenticated with the user account to the respective participant via the messaging user interface. 8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising: during the period of time after the determination that the authentication with the user account was successful, displaying a second verified credential indicator in the messaging user interface. 9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying a first conversation bubble of a message from the respective participant in the messaging user interface, wherein the first credential verification affordance is displayed in the first conversation bubble. 10. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: detecting, via the one or more input devices, a first user input of the one or more user inputs to select the first credential verification affordance; and after detecting the first user input, displaying a user credential user interface that is overlaid on a portion of the messaging user interface, wherein at least one of the one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account is entered through the user credential user interface. 11. The method of claim 10 , wherein the user credential user interface is a web portal of an organization associated with the respective participant, and wherein the at least one of the one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account is entered through the user credential user interface of the organization. 12. The method of claim 10 , wherein a first credential of the user is stored on the electronic device, and wherein after detecting the first user input, the method further comprises entering the first credential in the user credential user interface when a predetermined condition is met. 13. The method of claim 10 , further comprising after displaying the user credential user interface, detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second user input of the one or more user inputs to enter a biometric measurement of the user via the user credential user interface. 14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the biometric measurement of the user is a facial identification of the user, and wherein detecting the second user input of the one or more user inputs comprises detecting the facial identification of the user. 15. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: after detecting the one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account, obtaining a first encrypted token based on the one or more user inputs; and providing the first encrypted token to the respective participant via the messaging user interface. 16. The method of claim 15 , further comprising after the first encrypted token has been provided to the respective participant, displaying, in the messaging user interface, a notification that the first encrypted token has been provided to the respective participant. 17. The method of claim 1 , further comprising after detecting the one or more user inputs to authenticate with the user account, providing a credential of the user account to a remote service that is associated with the user account and the respective participant, wherein the credential is based on the one or more user inputs, and wherein the credential is used by the remote service to determine the authentication with the user account. 18. The method of claim 1 , wherein the user account and th
