The invention relates a compound of the formula: a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, compositions thereof, and methods of therapeutic treatment using the same.

What is claimed is: 1. A compound having the structure: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 2. A salt according to claim 1 , wherein the salt is present as a hydrochloride salt. 3. The salt according to claim 2 , wherein the hydrochloride salt is a dihydrochloride salt. 4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound according to claim 1 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. 5. The composition according to claim 4 , wherein said composition is adapted for parenteral administration. 6. A method of depleting latent HIV infected cells comprising administering to a subject a compound of claim 1 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 7. A method of treating an HIV infection in a subject comprising administering to the subject a compound of claim 1 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 8. A compound having the structure: 9. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound according to claim 8 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. 10. The composition according to claim 9 , wherein said composition is adapted for parenteral administration. 11. A method of depleting latent HIV infected cells comprising administering to a subject a compound of claim 8 . 12.
