Official abstract text for this publication.
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for displaying a presentation across various electronic devices. An embodiment operates by receiving a presentation slide comprising a plurality of layout segments and an object. The embodiment determines a device characteristic for an electronic device. The embodiment determines the object in a layout segment of the plurality of layout segments. The embodiment determines a layout rule based on the determined device characteristic, the determined layout segment, and a property of the object. The embodiment modifies the object based on the determined layout rule. The embodiment then outputs a layout result based on the presentation slide and the modified object.

What is claimed is: 1. A computer implemented method, comprising: receiving, by at least one processor, a presentation slide comprising a plurality of layout segments, wherein the plurality of layout segments corresponds to visual divisions of the presentation slide, and each layout segment of the plurality of layout segments is associated with a different layout rule configured to automatically generate a different layout result in response to interactively inserting a first object into the respective layout segment; determining, by the at least one processor, a device characteristic for an electronic device; determining, by the at least one processor, the first object is in a first layout segment of the plurality of layout segments; determining, by the at least one processor, a first layout rule based on the determined device characteristic, the determined first layout segment, and a first property of the first object; modifying, by the at least one processor, the first object based on the determined first layout rule; determining, by the at least one processor, the first object is in a third layout segment of the plurality of layout segments in response to an update to the presentation slide; determining, by the at least one processor, a second layout rule based on the determined third layout segment and a second property of the first object; modifying, by the at least one processor, the first object based on the determined second layout rule; and outputting, by the at least one processor, a layout result at the electronic device, wherein the layout result is based at least in part on the presentation slide and the modification of the first object based on the determined second layout rule. 2. The method of claim 1 , the receiving further comprising: receiving the presentation slide from a cloud computing platform. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the device characteristic comprises a display screen size, a display screen orientation, a color depth capability, a memory size, and an input capability. 4. The method of claim 1 , the modifying the first object based on the determined first layout rule further comprising: modifying at least one of a position of the first object, a size of the first object, an orientation of the first object, and a color of the first object based on the determined first layout rule. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first property of the first object comprises a type of the first object, a size of the first object, an orientation of the first object, or a color of the first object. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first object is a picture, shape, video, animation, or text block. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of layout segments is defined based on a plurality of gridlines. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein each layout segment of the plurality of layout segments is associated with a different layout rule configured to generate a different layout result based on the device characteristic. 9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: associating an action with the first object based on the determined first layout rule. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the action is configured to output the first object in a full screen. 11. The method of claim 1 , the modifying the first object based on the determined first layout rule further comprising: modifying a second object based on the determined first layout rule, wherein the second object is in a second layout segment of the plurality of layout segments. 12. A system, comprising: a memory; and at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to: receive a presentation slide comprising a plurality of layout segments, wherein the plurality of layout segments corresponds to visual divisions of the presentation slide, and each layout segment of the plurality of layout segments is associated with a different layout rule configured to automatically generate a different layout result in response to interactively inserting a first object into the respective layout segment; determine a device characteristic of the system; determine the first object is in a first layout segment of the plurality of layout segments; determine a first layout rule based on the determined device characteristic, the determined first layout segment, and a first property of the first object; modify the first object based on the determined first layout rule; determine the first object is in a third layout segment of the plurality of layout segments in response to an update to the presentation slide; determine a second layout rule based on the determined third layout segment and a second property of the first object; modify the first object based on the determined second layout rule; and output a layout result, wherein the layout result is based at least in part on the presentation slide and the modification of the first object based on the determined second layout rule. 13. The system of claim 12 , wherein to receive the presentation slide, the at least one processor is further configured to: receive the presentation slide from a cloud computing platform. 14. The system of claim 12 , wherein the device characteristic comprises a display screen size, a display screen orientation, a color depth capability, a memory size, and an input capability. 15. The system of claim 12 , wherein to modify the first object based on the determined first layout rule, the at least one processor is further configured to: modify at least one of a position of the first object, a size of the first object, an orientation of the first object, and a color of the first object based on the determined first layout rule. 16. The system of claim 12 , wherein the first property of the first object comprises a type of the first object, a size of the first object, an orientation of the first object, or a color of the first object. 17. The system of claim 12 , wherein the plurality of layout segments is defined based on a plurality of gridlines. 18. The system of claim 12 , wherein to modify the first object based on the determined first layout rule the at least one processor is further configured to: modify a second object based on the determined first layout rule, wherein the second object is in a second layout segment of the plurality of layout segments. 19. A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one computing device, causes the at least one computing device to perform operations comprising: receiving a presentation slide comprising a plurality of layout segments, wherein the plurality of layout segments corresponds to visual divisions of the presentation slide, and each layout segment of the plurality of layout segments is associated with a different layout rule configured to automatically generate a different layout result in response to interactively inserting a first object into the respective layout segment; determining a device characteristic for an electronic device; determining the first object is in a first layout segment of the plurality of layout segments; determining a first layout rule based on the determined device characteristic, the determined first layout segment, and a first property of the first object; modifying the first object based on the determined first layout rule; determining the first object is in a third layout segment of the plurality of layout segments in response to an update to the presentation slide; determining a second layout rule based on
